Some people say that the film is a bit like Blade Runner - which is more agreeable. Black-and-white images, gloomy soundtrack, continuous rain and snow, black cape, and a happy ending—all together form a black-and-gray picture that remains in the impression.
There are not too many new ideas and surprises in the plot (although there are also some small surprises), so no spoilers.
The topic is about a scientific ethical issue. However, the concept of "longevity" and "immortality" is somewhat confused in the film, and the two are completely equated, and the consideration is too simplistic: the film is about anti-aging from the beginning to the end (the secret of longevity is discovered), and at the end, there is a sudden sentence "Without death, life is meaningless" gives the tone of the film - this sentence is obviously abusive, and even gives a feeling that it can be extended to "whoever is sick, it is best to let it fend for itself; please doctors Get laid off." Therefore, I have certain reservations about the theme of the film: Long life is not equal to Immortality.
The flaws are not concealed. Overall, the film is still very good, and it is a rare style film.
