The movie "Waganda" - I met my favorite you when I was young
Early Warning: This article contains a lot of spoilers!
Sometimes I'm sad not that you don't like me anymore, but that no matter how hard I try, I'm still far away from you.
I have seen too many unforgettable feelings. I opened this film in the middle of the night and watched it quietly. I think, this may be the ideal love...
When I was young, I met the person I liked the most. I haven't grown up yet, but I have learned how to love you.
"Waganda" is a feature film released by Sony Classics in Italy on August 31, 2012. It mainly tells the story of a twelve-year-old Saudi girl, Wajda, who longs to own a bicycle, but this small wish that seems ordinary to us is contrary to the Islamic teachings at that time and the social norms of Saudi Arabia. The doctrine states that unmarried women are not allowed to ride bicycles. This starts a series of stories about family, teachers and students, love, friendship and so on.
To understand this film only in terms of love is undoubtedly superficial, but the love in the film is really moving. We start from the beginning and look down, a little at a time, to a different Arab world from ours.
In the first scene of the film, the heroine Waganda is in class at the school. The other girls are standing upright. The heroine Waganda twists her body restlessly, and greets the passing students of the senior grades openly. It is obvious that Waganda is different. She is not bound by the rules of school and society. She even bravely breaks some rules.
With the activities of the heroine, the mother of the heroine, the father of the heroine, and the heroine appeared one after another.
Our male protagonist is different from other male protagonists, he is shorter than the female protagonist! ! After all, everyone is still young, and it is understandable that boys develop slowly. And although our male protagonist is short, he has a great family background, and also has a hot girl flirting skill. In addition, there are hidden handcraft skills~
When the male protagonist appeared, he was helping his uncle, who was participating in the election, to nail propaganda signs, bicker with the female protagonist, and go to school. The male protagonist Abdu robbed the female protagonist of the sandwich, and the female protagonist caught up and snatched it back. So the male protagonist made a big move. He ran back and rode his bicycle, ripped off the female protagonist's head scarf and threw it in the sand.
Turn on the mocking mode: "Do you think you can really catch up with me?"
Looking at the way the boys ride bicycles, the female protagonist's little wish to own a bicycle came into being: "When I have a bicycle, you will know."
Because the hood was torn off by the male protagonist, the female protagonist went to school with bare hair, and was undoubtedly reprimanded by the stern principal.
After school, the male protagonist found the female protagonist and gave her a package of gifts to make up for it. The female protagonist accepted it with a smile, but said that the cycling race with the male protagonist was not over yet.
At this time, the heroine saw the bicycle in her mind and began to run for love, chasing it for three thousand miles. Finally, at the door of a store, she chased after the bicycle placed outside, stroking the handlebars with her hand, and her heart was full of joy.
The shop owner told her that the bike costs 800 riyals, and our hostess doesn't have that much money.
The hostess happily told her mother that she wanted a bicycle, expressing that she wanted to ride a bicycle with Abdu.
My mother said that this is more incredible than the female main going to the hospital to sell fruit.
So the heroine started her own way of saving money.
After the twists and turns, the heroine signed up to participate in the "Koran" knowledge contest. After finally winning the competition, the principal objected to her using the money to buy a bicycle and donated the money.
The hostess immediately satirized the principal, and said to the principal in public, "Your Mr. Thief" (referring to a man). The heroine's courage point must be 100%, indicating that she is not easy to mess with.
During the period, the male protagonist helped the female protagonist settle the matter of the female protagonist's mother taking a car to work (married women have to take a special car to go to work), and also gave the female protagonist his own bicycle to ride.
The male protagonist was worried that the female protagonist had never ridden a bicycle and would easily fall down on the first ride. Worrying about the female protagonist's safety, he thoughtfully installed auxiliary wheels. The female protagonist was very angry when she saw it. She felt that the male protagonist looked down on her, walked to the wall without saying a word, and buried her head in her knees.
(This touching love, I never care about social regulations, I only care about you.)
Seeing that this is amazing, the male protagonist quickly dismantled the auxiliary wheel and promised to give the female protagonist money to coax his future daughter-in-law.
When the hero and heroine appear in the same scene, the air is sweet. This scene on the rooftop is comparable to the classic scene from "Romeo and Juliet".
It turns out that this man, he would, would marry another woman.
The appearance of the heroine's father may be to contrast with the male lead, and it can be said that he is undoubtedly a scumbag.
Because the heroine's mother is in poor health, she can no longer bear children. The male protagonist's father married another daughter-in-law, saying "I love you", but turned around and married someone else.
What's more annoying than betrayal is deception. The father of the male protagonist first told the mother of the female protagonist to go to someone else's wedding. The mother of the female protagonist happily chose the red dress. Unexpectedly, there has never been anyone else's wedding.
Some are just the new love and new family of the male lead father.
The male protagonist's father is even more extreme. It is stipulated that only the son's name can be written on the patriarchal family tree. The female protagonist secretly wrote his own name and pasted it. Later, he found that the paper was taken off, crumpled, and thrown aside.
Although there is no clear indication of who crumpled the piece of paper in the film, there are three people in the family.
(Our male protagonist is really cute and cute!)
With the mother-daughter conversation on the rooftop, the film came to an end. The heroine's mother bought her the dream bike, and the male hero's uncle was elected.
"You know I'll marry you when we grow up, right?"
When I saw this sentence, I paused and thought for a long time.
Others say that you are young and ignorant, but I am very clear about the fact that I love you.
Thank you (Abdu) for the love you are willing to say, and thank you (Wagada) for your willingness to agree.
We know better than anyone that we are in love, I don't care about those nasty rules, I don't care what other people think, I just know it's your dream I love, I just want to accompany you to guard your dream, everything else is not my business.
Whoever won the cycling competition that was promised at the beginning?
Only love wins.
