Hi, Mr Lonely

We often feel lonely. But really, what should loneliness look like? Maybe no one knows. Ordinary people who don't study philosophy. In the busy interval, I was sometimes hit by this emotion, but soon, something else disturbed it, and then quickly dissipated.

In fact, we have never really understood loneliness, and this little emotion may only be called loneliness.

I thought loneliness had no shape. Like a wisp of smoke, sometimes lingering around you, when you try to talk and get close, it disappears into an invisible light as soon as you stretch out your hand. I don't think I've ever seriously thought about the nature of loneliness. It can actually be tangible. It can be an endless highway, a long-neck street lamp standing silently, a desolate town in midsummer, or even a hustle and bustle, crowded, unfamiliar words, or a group of police uniforms lined up. neat band members. Came to Israel from far away Egypt. A short night in a lonely town.

Empty mirror, cool tones. Nearly uninhabited land. This loneliness really cannot be called loneliness. It is simply hidden in the film's dozen or so characters. A cramped little gesture is more able to pinpoint the subtle intimacy and alienation between people than a wanton emotional exaggeration.

In just 80 minutes, the 8 band members often lined up neatly, or waited for a reception bus that never came, or waited for strangers to take pictures, or walked aimlessly on the road. They were like the cleaner who suddenly broke into the picture and refused to leave. They strayed into an unfamiliar country. No one knew what was waiting in front of them.

I don't know much about the conflict between Israel and the pan-Arab world. In that desolate town like Macondo, racial divisions and feuding are just a backdrop. What you can see is that the people of the two ethnic groups are trying to communicate with each other in difficult English, and they are cautiously testing.

I always wonder, although they are unfamiliar, how eager are they to communicate and be understood? So the charming proprietress expresses her love to the band leader with imaginary parks and beaches, as well as childhood movies and memories of Arabia; the clumsy and silent vice-leader will suddenly be in front of a group of strangers. There is an unfinished movement; there is also a little lover in the band who likes CHAT BAKER. Although he seems reluctant, he still teaches the clumsy little boy how to open his love. It seemed that only the eldest members of the band were calm, singing bleak tunes in the empty night, enjoying themselves.

In that short night, there were too many subtle temptations and exchanges, but all of them were shallow. When the morning comes and goes on the road again, how many words are there in the silent wave? Do they think, is this enough? Or one more night, is it possible to break the barrier of loneliness, no longer need to be prepared, and then be careful?

But I think true loneliness never ends, whether we seem close or distant.

Zhou Guoping once said in "Love and Loneliness": "Loneliness is the fate of human beings, and it is based on the fact that each of us is an accidental existence in this world, who comes from nothing and returns to nothing. In the middle of nowhere, no one or anything can change our destiny. Yes, not even love." "There are two kinds of loneliness. The soul seeks its own source and destination but cannot find it, and feels that it is a part of the vast universe. Unfounded contingency, this is absolute, metaphysical, philosophical loneliness. The soul searches for another soul and cannot find it, and feels itself as a wanderer in the world without a traveling companion. This is relative, metaphysical, social The loneliness of nature."

The subtle sense of alienation between people that has always spread in the film may be more of a metaphysical loneliness. Such loneliness will accompany life from beginning to end. There's nothing wrong with it. It can even be a mirror, always reflecting on your heart. As the unemployed young man in the film said to the vice-captain: Maybe your song can end like this, the kind of sudden ending, without sadness or happiness. Just a small room, a lamp, a bed, and the child is sleeping soundly. Also, endless loneliness. "

Perhaps, when we escape those lonely little emotions and truly see the essence of loneliness, our hearts can become stronger. Just like the end of the film, in the cheerful performance of the band members, the loneliness is gradually dissipating, replaced by a kind of relief from the heart.

It is inevitable that we will still feel lonely from time to time, but if eternal loneliness is no longer an enemy but a friend. Then when they meet each other, there is no need to fear or escape. All you have to do is step forward with a smile and say: HI, MR LONELY.
