I was curious about the content of some of the dialogues while watching the show, so I searched for it. By the way, I will see some other relevant trivial knowledge points and share them with you.

1. The show is based on the experiences of screenwriter Russell T. Davies and his friends. The "Pink Palace" did exist in those days.

3. The original title of the show was 'The Boys', but last year it was changed to 'It's A Sin' from the Pet Shop Boys song of the same name.

4. In 1987, Princess Diana went to Middlesex Hospital to visit a patient with HIV/AIDS. She shook hands with the patient without wearing gloves to a certain extent, alleviating the public's panic towards AIDS patients at that time.

5. In the 1980s, the way to lock the car was not like the current sensor, but to press the button to lock the car before closing the door.

6. In episode 3, olly and his boyfriend were discussing which celebrity was gay, so they mentioned Phillip Schofield. In fact, the man publicly admitted to being gay in 2020, during which time he was a married man, married to his wife for over thirty years, and had two daughters.

7. When Colin first came to London to rent a house from home, the landlady said that if he wanted to call his family, he needed to know whether to call before 6pm or after 6pm. Because, in those days, it was more expensive to call before 6pm.

8. The story takes place in the ten years from 1981 to 1991. Ash, a teacher, was called by the school to the school library to clean up books related to homosexuality. Because in 1988 the British local government issued an anti-gay clause called Section 28, which prohibited local education authorities and schools from disseminating information about homosexuality.

9. HBO agreed to the British show in the United States on the condition that a well-known American actor appear, which is why Neil Patrick Harris appeared in the first episode.

10. In the second episode, Ritchie said that AIDS was a scam, a tactic used by pharmaceutical companies to get money out of it. Because the information that AIDS began to disseminate in the United States has just spread to the United Kingdom, and because only gay men suffer from it, the public at that time believed that AIDS was a "gay plague" that only belonged to gay men. So this also makes Ritchie not believe in the existence of AIDS.

11. In the play, RItchie mentioned that her profession cannot say that she is gay, otherwise her acting career will be narrowed. However, all the gay characters in the show are gay in real life. RTD has mentioned that he thinks gays can also play straight characters because they have been playing straight men in their daily lives.

11. RTD was a screenwriter for Doctor Who (2005). In the fourth episode, RItchie played a small role in "Regression of the Daleks" in the Doctor Who (1963) series, which was actually a tribute to Dursley Mclinden, who played the role in "Rememberance of the Daleks" Sgt. Mike Smith. In 1995, at the age of 30, Dursley Mclinden died of AIDS.
