"Shame" is depressing. In the face of war or reality, how insignificant one is, and the powerlessness that one's destiny cannot be controlled by oneself makes me want to rush out and do something , but don't know what to do~~~
In the movie, those who control the fate of others are played by bigger powers, and they still "have no choice", as if a tornado involved everyone in it~~~ usual People don't think that the more extreme the environment is, the more obvious it becomes.
You can also choose, in addition to living or dying.
A noble mayor molested his wife in front of his husband,
a noble musician stole money, but does not admit that

human kindness, conscience, and compassion are gone. What are we talking about "shame" in the conditions of war?
In the end, they escaped from the island by boat, but still could not escape the mercy of others and nature.
There was only one boat left on the empty sea, and Eva's feeble voice echoed:

I had a dream
walking along a beautiful street with white houses with
high round arches and columns on one side .
On the other side is a tree-lined park And
under the trees next to the street
is a babbling green stream
And then I come to a high wall
where roses bloom
A plane flies by and
lights the roses
But the plane is panicking
because it's destroying beauty The stunner
I saw its reflection in the water See
how the roses burn
I hold the baby in my arms
She's our daughter
She clings to me
I feel her lips
Touched my cheek

at that moment
I should have remembered something
and something said
but I forgot what it was
...

I guessed the ending~~~ But it doesn't make me happy~~~
This movie is the director The 1968 work made me tremble with fear. Everything in the film seemed to be the "Cultural Revolution" in Europe.
The rhythm of the film develops in a jumping manner, and some details are not explained by the director, but they do not affect the plot. The synopsis of the movie is very sensational, but in fact it is not the case at all.
One of the director's preferences is that several male protagonists go back and forth to use~~~ all of them look familiar.

Shame quotes

  • Eva Rosenberg: Sometimes everything seems just like a dream. It's not my dream, it's somebody else's. But I have to participate in it. How do you think someone who dreams about us would feel when he wakes up. Feeling ashamed?

  • Eva Rosenberg: I had a dream. I was walking down a very beautiful street... and on one side there were white houses, with high arches and pillars. On the other side, there was a shady park. Under the trees which were growing near the street. there was a stream of dark green water. And then I came to a high wall, and it was overgrown with roses. And then came an airplane and set the roses on fire. But it wasn't too awful since it was so beautiful. I watched the reflections in the water, and saw how the roses burned. And I had a little child in my arms. It was our daughter. She clung to me... and I felt her lips touching my cheek. And the whole time I knew that I should remember something... something someone had said... but I had forgotten what it was.
