This season is a continuation of the progress of the times, and I give it full marks because I am looking forward to the next season.
It may also be because I like a slow pace. If it is a case, it can be solved in about two episodes, but it is a story that deserves scrutiny and expansion.
After finally persuading the young woman not to plead guilty, the old lawyer committed suicide. In an instant, I panicked... I think this case is about to become a crime.
Because the male lead Mason: A failed dad as soon as he came out, his job was in jeopardy (no formal tie), he was short-tempered (ptsd), a middle-aged man with a farm that hadn't paid off his debts for 5 years.
The investigation ability is OK, but the force is average. Sensitive and impulsive, and likes to test the edge of the law (or directly break the law)
Finally: I actually took the initiative to reconcile with my ex-wife to visit my son. I have a new career (lawyer package get!), I stopped ranting in court, sold the farm (with one cow left) and became a positive partner.
He, Mason is no longer a postwar relic.
Elegant heroine: There are many titles at the beginning, female secretary? female driver? Female angry youth (equal rights)?
Between the protagonist and the supporting role, until I saw her best friend, this woman is not simple.
Sure enough: she likes to complain and hate people, but she has more affection for the old lawyer than his family. She is smart, she is restrained, and she is an excellent assistant. Of course, her goal has always been a lawyer, a partner who can stand side by side with men. (Like the male lead here)
''If you have money, you must hire a connection girl~''
Black police brother: He loves uniforms (police badges), he is alert, he is different, he tolerates his black identity, he is worried about his pregnant wife (I have always been afraid of her accident), and he is suffering in a gray area.
In the end: he stood on the side of justice, not hesitating, he got the support of his wife, he refunded the black money, instead of being a black policeman! (pun intended) It's better to be an innocent man. In the end, he wore a white shirt and became a detective in the office.
The three people span gender and race. In fact, there are three elements of modern American dramas, but who doesn't love such a perfect match?
Old lawyer: Although he is a bit selfish, he is obviously not a defender of men's rights. He complains but he also reflects on it. He is light (believing his clients are innocent), he is decent (haircutting), so he is just a microcosm, a glorious past of the horse-drawn era.
Old partner: In order to support the family, there is no position, and occasionally take advantage of people. But he actually yearns for justice from the bottom of his heart. When he clearly could take advantage of it later, he chose to pay for it himself.
The most thought-provoking place:
The nun is not crazy (no sanctuary) and she has never believed in God because she was persecuted by a pedophile as a child (very politely said) and her mother acquiesced.
So I hope her ending is the ending, she dyed her hair, and she no longer has to be controlled by everyone.
And everyone's ending is not the ending, it's just the beginning of the show, it's just the beginning...
