I watched Filthy Rich out of curiosity. Before watching, I told my friends that I would severely criticize the ugly face of the capitalist perverted rich old man.
It's true that Jeffery Epstein is a perverted rogue pedophile, a slutty scumbag who can't get any worse, but is he really the one who woven this sinful web?
Sorry, it's hard for me to identify with the victims who tell the story, "You can get $200 just for a massage for an old man" is not a normal thing to think about? Even with the immature value judgments of minors, unfortunate families can be the cause of their own victimization, but what is the next girl for Epstein? What's the point of being the perpetrator when they already knew they would be sexually abused if they approached Epstein, even knowing it was wrong? The weirdest thing about this documentary is that it plays down the controversies, eschews discussion, and focuses on Epstein alone, but the more it does, the less I understand victims. Is this a man's evil? This is clearly a train full of evil that keeps calling people up.
The courage to stand up and speak up is worth encouraging, but the actions and stories of the victims make me feel that not all the women who participated in the Me too movement are so convincing. Reliability...
So vulnerable is not an excuse to compromise with reality. It is precisely because we are vulnerable that we should respect ourselves, identify bad people, be independent and brave, and unite.
