The story does not take place in the war-torn Baghdad, but in the California desert town of Baghdad.
It was a sandy place, and there was not a trace of green to be seen except for the peeling paint of the vans passing by.
But there is a very beautiful sky, a deep blue, shrouding the whole town.
That kind of light is heartwarming. In one shot, a rainbow appeared, and the rainbow was almost erected from the horizon.
In a desolate place, it also has its heart-wrenching aspects.
Baghdad Cafe, right off the road in one of those places.
Few patrons, the table was dusty and there was no coffee as the coffee machine was broken.
Because of her livelihood and the need to take care of her children, the hostess kept her head covered all day, full of complaints and nagging.
Such a life seems hopeless. The husband was finally unbearable and left.
When the woman came in that beautiful blue, she hid in the corner and shed tears.
And that woman, carrying luggage, also looked unbearable. His bloated body was dragging his feet with heavy steps, and his face was dripping with grease-like hot sweat.
She had a fight with her husband and was abandoned on the road by her husband. She must have come a long, long way in this uninhabited desert.
She came to this cafe in the desert and stayed at the hotel. At first, she didn't get on well with her.
She doesn't like her, finds this woman from afar strange, and doesn't like her changes to her cafe.
She even treated it as her own home and gave it a thorough cleaning. She doesn't like her like this.
But later, everything changed. When I take a nap in the warmth of the sun and wake up again.
The cafe is full of joy. Weary drivers and faceless townspeople flocked.
Here, they found a source of joy.
Who changed all this?
It was that woman, with her athletic figure, and her magic show.
She and her, tacitly cooperate with the performance. Because of understanding, and so harmonious, even reluctant to separate.
Her husband finally came back with apology. She's not no longer cute, she's still so charming on the show. He just lacks patience. They need to start over.
And when she came back, the old hippie painter who had fallen in love with her proposed to her. That way, they can stay here forever and never leave.
The story of the cafe is not over. Even after the film ends, the story continues.
Magical miracles are always present in our lives. Maybe, with some small changes.
Life is so beautiful, that's all I can feel.
The movie's theme song is also great, CALLING YOU, calling you.
That call, with the sweet husky of a desert cactus spreading from its rhizomes.
I am calling you. I know, you can hear it.
A hot dry wind blows right through me, The baby's crying and I can't sleep, But we both know a change is coming, coming closer, sweet release, I am calling you, I know you hear me...
