This movie is just as shoddy as the Brisbane Bear made by the male protagonist, but full of sincerity and childishness. It may not be rewatched, but every second of watching this movie is enjoyed. I especially like Kyle's way of combining his usual awkward acting with the plot, by telling the story of how a big boy who knows nothing about how the world works but is full of curiosity fits into the crowd and pursues his dreams. For example, when he is trying to make friends, he imitates others' words intentionally or not, turn it in and dope as shit, which are cute and silly, and totally relatable. And when he was kissed by a girl for the first time, his slightly embarrassed snort was too cute. Hhhhh, I actually have a feeling that all these awkward characters seem to be trying to portray a certain side of himself. . But to be honest, this movie has subverted the fantasy I have always had about Kyle. The previous evaluation of them was that Beck was a bit crazy but barely considered a normal person. Kyle is definitely a pessimist with a bad spirit. He was traumatized in childhood or something. hhh I watched snl's mother's day special later, to be honest I really thought kyle's mom wouldn't show up, but instead I saw a very normal, healthy, loving and interesting woman, and kyle and her relationship was obviously very good. Combined with his completely chill and not embarrassed state when he participated in various interviews, it is not surprising that such a distressing story can be made so warm and lovely. To this day I finally accepted that kyle is not the weird geek I imagined, but a friendly and normal funny guy. In this way, his eccentric stream-of-consciousness short clips that have resonated with me countless times are basically the result of mental activity, not the catharsis and projection of a certain part of his emotions like I used to think. Very happy for him, but disappointed at the same time. Probably what I like most about this movie is the lingering sadness and loneliness that is carried in the warm atmosphere. Everything seems to be right, but nothing is quite right. Basically this is my life. Making james better is a goal. For a free-spirited, open-minded American, that goal can be anything that makes him happy. He doesn't have to spend many years burying his head in answering questions, learning some things he doesn't like and can't use, he doesn't have to make money, buy a house, repay the motherland and repay his parents as his only goal in life, and he doesn't have to look up at the sky in his spare time, bewildered What are you living for? I'm not talking about james, but kyle and beck, free and happy middle-class americans, ingvild and hadassa, carefree european girls. But oddly enough, I like them without envy them. My society has endured a lot, many people are suffering and sick, but perhaps this is the place where I can appreciate the true nature of my life, and I accept this arrangement and be grateful. Not sure what I'm writing. . I'm in a bad mood today, but this movie is healing. Another point I want to say is that the cameo appearances of Beck, Nick and the three cousins are good surprises, but they are too blunt, especially Beck, who created a story line for a completely useless character hhhhh I can fully understand Kyle's idea : After so many years, my dream of making a movie has finally come true. No matter what, I want to put two good friends who I first pursued my dream together. This is a movie about family and love, and the participation of old friends makes it more warm and lovely.
