Honestly speaking, Zun Long in this movie is not a successful gangster. He is young and arrogant, impetuous and authoritarian, otherwise he would not have drawn a gun to the police in the end, but he still died gracefully enough.
Labelling deals with various issues in Chinatown in the 1970s: youth gangsters, drug problems, women's labor rights, and the underlying historical reasons (the single-sex Chinatown caused by the Chinese Exclusion Act, racial discrimination). In the end, everyone's lineup was also quite sloppy. The protagonist is a rubbish, and the emotional main line is also very nauseating. The director of the ending doesn't even care who wins, but it must be the police and reporters who represent justice and order. The only highlight moment in the whole play should be a speech by a Chinese policeman, the only right part of the whole movie.
