It tells the story of two elderly men and women who fall in love. In a small town near Denver in the desolate Midwest of the United States, almost everyone here knows each other, and rumors spread at an alarming rate. Widowed old lady Eddie Moore called her long-lost neighbor, Louise, and summoned the courage to invite another widower over to her house for a night out. "Soul of the Night" is an absolutely different existence. It tells about love, but it always keeps the audience unconsciously estranged from the word love. It puts aside all the superfluous and redundant, and purifies the background of love to near transparency.
