Kagome: Seemingly fragile, but actually strong
Inuyasha: Seemingly stubborn, but actually fragile
Kikyo: Seemingly powerful, but Lonely
Sesshomaru: Seemingly indifferent, but actually having
a heart
In fact, he is extremely protective of his companions
: he seems timid and runs away in case of trouble, but he is actually loyal
. . . .
Every character has more than a simple personality, and even the biggest villain, Naraku, is constantly fighting against the side that loves Kikyo in his heart.
What impressed me the most was that Shengtong tried to capture the dark side of Kagome's heart. Finally, he grasped the fear of Inuyasha's departure and the jealousy of Kikyo, but Kagome finally defeated Shengtong because she clearly saw : People are not perfect, everyone has flaws, but those fears and jealousies are part of human nature, there is nothing shameful.

Inuyasha quotes

  • Kagome: [after Miroku observes that Inuyasha isn't such a bad guy] Miroku is right. Inuyasha could have killed the artist, and ended the trouble in one blow. But instead, he spared the man's life and went straight for the ink pot. Yeah, I guess Inuyasha's all right. He just doesn't know it yet. I might tell him, someday, if the time is ever right.

  • Inuyasha: [thinking about Kagome] As long as she's alive and well, that's all I hope for. I can't bear to see another woman die.
