I feel that most Spanish-language movies show the most terrifying and darkest side of human nature, making people meditate. At first I couldn't accept it when I watched Spanish movies, but after watching "Pan's Labyrinth", "Wild Tales", "The Dark Side", "Fermat's Room" and other films, I gradually felt relieved. There should never be a happy ending in Spanish-language suspense, thriller and other movies.
This film vividly shows the male protagonist's unwillingness, anger, selfishness, arrogance, cunning, perversion and evil after experiencing the deterioration of the housing environment. In fact, no matter who his family is, what he loves most is himself and his high social status. In order to pursue these, he will do whatever it takes, full of lies, abandoning his wife and children, and at the cost of hurting the lives of others.
Aside from the question of whether the plot setting is reasonable, I think the portrayal of the male protagonist is very good. Also, the house in the advertisement made by the male protagonist at the beginning of the movie echoes the big house where the male protagonist lives at the end, which is also very well set. The slogan says "La vida que mereces", I prefer it literally translated as "you deserve a life", now that I think about it, it's very likely that it's a hint of the male protagonist doing all those actions, he thinks he deserves better He went on the road of no return, killed the current owner of the house at all costs, had his wife and daughter, held important positions in the company, changed to a more luxurious house, and moved towards the "peak of life".
Before the end, his first wife came to him and told him that she knew everything and was going to the police. Of course he wouldn't allow such a thing to happen, and warned his former wife that if she did this, he would take all the money he was going to give them to a lawsuit, and her wife chose to be silent... This ending can be said to be expected In China, money or justice has always been a topic of debate.
(ps: After watching a lot of Spanish-language movies, I decided for the first time to write something and express my thoughts. If there is anything wrong with the writing, you can point it out and welcome to discuss. Thank you very much for watching! )
