The movie seems to be talking about the family, or the relationship between people, or even between people and everything.
Note the dog's perspective from the beginning to the end of the movie, we rarely really appreciate what a dog feels like, we are all self-centered.
Human needs are very complex, happiness requires many conditions, and for dogs, a large proportion of happiness lies in eating.
If these are recognized, the film becomes profound.
The arrival of the female owner has caused the quality of the dog's diet to plummet, but behind it is actually the reduction of the male owner's concern for the dog. When the hostess left, looking at the sad man, the dog chose to find the hostess and come back.
So getting married and having children, the dog has to eat dog food all the time, but it still feels happy, because the male owner and the female owner are happy.
The film ends with the male and female owners having babies, the children growing up, and the dog's delicious feast back.
Family, interpersonal relationships, always have to be paid by someone, are you willing to be the one who pays?
