The long-awaited Goldfinch movie finally watched
... very disappointed
The Las Vegas scene I was looking forward to was almost cut, alas, I really like that swimming pool scene
As soon as the movie came out, the casting of the male lead made me… unacceptable (or not just unacceptable) and when I read the book, I felt that Theo should be a bit like his father but with the delicacy of his mother, a bit gloomy and silent, and then a bit nerdy.
The same Pippa casting... The actor was very appropriate when he was a child, but when he grew up, Pippa... had no aura.
Kathy is pretty is pretty...but I don't think it's the comforting beauty in the book
I am amazed by the actor who plays Boris, although the book gives me the same feeling that Boris is a very bad boy and a little ruffian, but this actor... is also very close to Boris in one aspect.
Nicole Kidman is really perfect (impeccable) and she is so perfect for the role.
The whole movie... um... very rushed, a lot of it was not filmed, the general plot was filmed, but just... I don't think it means that in the book. I think the ending of Boris's words is quite ooc, and it has no deep meaning, just Very soon, so-so, neither good nor bad.
And the parting kiss of Boris and Theo was a little less interesting, and there was no tension.
The scene where Casey kisses her ex-boyfriend is not too tense.
Alas, boring.
