The prototype of the police detective interpreted by John Travolta, Aimer Robinson, happens to be the grandfather of the film director Todd Robinson. Unfortunately, I've always subjectively disliked Travolta and can't seem to change it. Salma Hayek, who plays Baker, is a "big beauty" and performed very well in the film. She is so irritable, cruel, paranoid, and evil that other characters have become her foils.
