Just Walking - "Gerry"

There wouldn't be as many complaints if the film was viewed from Andy Warhol's point of view, I think Gus Van Sant just showed the walking itself. This is actually a pure movie. No matter whether they are looking for them, or whether they have the same name, they all have the same nature as the black humor of the big stone.

According to relevant information, Van Sant was indeed influenced by Andy Warhol. When a mere act is magnified, its meaning goes beyond the act itself. Like the magnified apple of the painter Magritte, you might think it's more than just an apple. And there really is nothing behind this form, only your thinking about it. I don't have the information to prove that this film was created with the same intent as Andy Warhol. And there is a question that everyone is chattering about: Movies exist as entertainment or as art; but at least we all think that movies themselves are different from experimental video art. Our habit of watching movies over the years has made We think so.

bad habit. Lai Shengchuan has said that there are three poisons of creativity: habit, experience, and motivation.

Going back to the film itself, from a structural point of view, this is a film with only cause and no effect, which disappointed some viewers, including me. The action of the film was initially defined as searching, and what to look for, what was that "the thing" (before they were totally lost I imagined they were looking for a corpse, this dead person or their friend or something) , we have been waiting for something deeper and meaningful behind the walk to appear, but in the end you find that there is nothing.
