A former president makes an eye-popping decision for a woman he has seen twice. Running for the mayor of a small town, it's even more ridiculous that his other opponent is his boyfriend who loves at first sight is nothing more than a silly plumbing repairman.
Two people, because of a decision that could be seen as almost absurd, entered a campaign for which they were completely unprepared and fully aware. Then the story and development of course can be imagined. The media's hype, the townspeople's speculation, and the sudden occurrence of various things, the former president gradually showed his official nature. Stubborn and arrogant, regardless of the consequences, so that he is more like a person.
Although I don't appreciate this kind of film very much, but I think it has its merits. The president has been defined by a concept in all previous films - a serious person, both positive and negative. Be a model that can be admired, or a typical representative of a dogmatist, and you can always find a model to apply. And this film is a new interpretation. He is a human being and may not be very good.
For an actor, a character will have a definition in people's subconscious, a noun will represent a kind, and breaking the original pattern to create something new is worthy of commendation.
