"Grandpa's friends are very special, because they are all from Istanbul, and they are unique in history and blood. The most special thing is that they are like magnets, and they are like a compass to identify directions. Where their hometown is facing determines their direction."

Turkey is a A place full of charm, its cuisine is as rich and rich as its culture.
"Dorothy, listen to me..."
"Sometimes, it will be slapped in the opposite direction, adding a different spice. The strong taste of cumin can make people restrained; cinnamon can make people happy, if you want to say' I'd like to, then add cinnamon."

Fantini grew up in his grandfather's spice shop, who taught him the philosophy of spice and the philosophy of life. The story is captivating at first, and then slowly unfolds, revealing to us the whole of Turkey's traditions and cuisine.

This movie is also called The Spice Republic, but maybe the title is slightly better. Another good movie typically dragged down by the name.

This film is full of warm family atmosphere, such as Fantini's uncle is its love enlightenment teacher. He is a captain, he said: "If a woman is willing to cook for you, it means she is in love with you,"
"I ran into one on this trip, her name is Rou Rou, and she cooks Pi Li Yas is the best!"

"Then why don't you marry her?"

"She only knows how to cook."

Fantini is a talented chef who can make the best dishes when he was a child. But dad doesn't like him cooking because he's too young, the neighbor's daughter can cook delicious food when she's nine, but she's still in a mental hospital because the priest says she's too young to be able to cook He must have been possessed by a ghost to cook such a delicious dish...

In the end, my uncle planned to marry a woman he knew on a blind date. He kept emphasizing that she was a good girl, from a very good family, from a military family...
Then slowly Rip off the photos with all kinds of women in the cabin.
He pointed to the woman in the photo and said to Fantini: Her name is Rourou, and I have the same heart and full understanding. We are a natural couple...

Fantini promised to teach his uncle's fiancée how to make his grandfather's favorite beef. This is a Turkish tradition, the bride-to-be has to cook Turkish dishes, and the bride-to-be can only fry eggs.

But the day ended with the whole family throwing up. Fantini said to his parents who complained: "Uncle has traveled all over the world, how can he live with a woman who only knows how to fry eggs?"

Fantini's love is the same.

The playmates separated by the war as a child are always in his memory. The little girl gave him her set of small kitchen utensils at the train station, and said to him, "Next time I go to Athens, you cook, and I'll show you the dance."

He kept the postcards she sent, and also Give her the postcard with the spice attached. But then finally cut off contact.

After becoming a famous astronomer, Fantini only met her at her grandfather's funeral. She is already the wife of an officer, and her daughter has a sweet smile like her back then.
Fantini asked tentatively about her husband, from whom she was living apart. The woman is now a tour guide, so Fantini asked loudly on the square: I plan to visit here for a while now, how much does a private tour guide cost?

She said: "I won't charge you, but what can you do for me?

He smiled and said: dance for you?

The story is not over, I think only serious screenwriters would do such a thing. In the last 10 minutes, the story takes a dramatic turn, and after the heart is pounding, the thoughts are flooding.

I have always liked delicate movies, and such delicate and seemingly bland storytelling is the most powerful. After watching it twice in a row, I can't help but want to watch it a third time. It was a very enjoyable film, and I remember only Ang Lee's "Food Man and Woman" that gave me similar excitement. There are many similarities between the two films, they both carry culture with food, and they are both beautifully structured and full of ingenuity.

At the end of the film, Fantini returned to his grandfather's attic, put together the various spices scattered in the corner, and blown them into stars.

Personally don't like it very much, I want the story to end at the station, Fantini said: "Don't look back, Sammi"
"On the platform, we have the same heart, and that scene will never be forgotten."

But this does not affect the impression of the movie to me. This is a well-structured movie, and the actors are all very likable. I really like the atmosphere it creates:

"The location is amazing, the most typical example is the compass going down next to the lighthouse. The atmosphere around is so focused."

Like Paradise Cinema, in the end, men are still waiting, but women are all married. But it's still a myth

Small perspective, big pattern; family, love, and family and country.
