a, the way out for the people at the bottom
In the story, there are two ways out for the lower classes. One is to serve people—that is, "servants"; the other is to make a change and become a "rich man". The first is easy to understand without explanation. Specifically, Article 2. What is a "makeover"?
The literal meaning is "plastic surgery" (which coincides with the plot), and the deeper meaning is "transformation of the mind" (according to the gourd painting, from the appearance to the inner cultivation, imitating the "rich man"). But having said that, these are all wild ways (being a "little three" to turn over and relying on "selling meat" to attract money is really the best strategy), and the bottom-level turning over mainly depends on two fundamentals in reality. One, strength (one's own ability is the key), two, opportunity (can be met but not sought, not to mention that Bole is not often found). How many people resolutely chose the latter in "Love and Bread"? How many people give up the bottom line for money? Hey...money is so important that it gradually devours people's ideals and thoughts, and erodes people's hearts and consciences. The poor are like this, and the rich are the same. Looking at money, it has become a symbol of this era, a symbol that will eventually be remembered and spurned by history.
c, feminist awareness, the turmoil
The author wonders why the male characters in this work are so weak? So tasteless? This kind of setting, it is better not to appear, it is purely shameful. Of course, from another point of view, perhaps, this is the purpose of director alice, how to say this?
The film highlights the "rise of women" in an extreme way. For example, the male supporting characters are foolish, low-IQ, and immutable, and the female protagonist is wise, yearns for freedom, and dares to take risks. It doesn't mean "deprecating", but it's only a tiny difference.
Also, there are only two male characters in the play, killed by women and abandoned by women. The choreography is so simple and rude, it is indeed not clever enough. (Speaking of a digression, this kind of woman is really prohibitive)
d, the male world, the female to stay
There is also a point of view mentioned in the play, which is diametrically opposed to the "feminist" mentioned earlier. That is "under the patriarchal system, women go and stay".
Think about the girls in the play, whether they are rich girls or from the lower classes, did they go to Paradise Mountain voluntarily? of course not. They have no choice but to accept. This scene is easily reminiscent of the real living conditions of women in some countries/regions in the world today - no identity, no value, and no social status at all. What is the meaning of their existence? Husband and child, that's all? ! (Equality between men and women, not just a piece of paper)

Life is precious, love is higher.
For freedom's sake, both can be thrown away.
In the film, Uma finally gave up love, family, money, chose freedom, and shouted to the world with her actions. This is the value and power of "freedom", no one can stop it, no one can seize it.
