'Paradise Hill' creeps up women's future

This movie surprised me! At first I thought it was a bad movie, but the more I watched it, the more interesting it became. The whole movie was quite suspenseful, and many of the turns broke my glasses, which really surprised me! This is a feminist film set in the future with sci-fi and magic elements. How people create their ideal type of women in the future is jaw-dropping, but if you think about it carefully, you will find that it is really possible, and your scalp will feel numb unconsciously. . .

I was actually attracted by the plot when I first watched the preview. This Paradise Mountain is actually very beautiful in the whole movie. Basically, I wanted to live there for a while. . . . Until they saw that they could only eat one cauliflower every night, and even a glass of milk was given as little as the bottom of a glass. . . The reason is to maintain a ladylike figure, which is absolutely impossible for me.

This is a place for training rich ladies. The girls dress like little fairies, and everything is very feminine. I am afraid that you will become a female man. I will give you all kinds of pink and let you learn how to be a docile little girl. Princess. It seems to be returning to the era when women were never liberated hundreds of years ago. In a future where women were just accustomed to being equal to men, there is a place where spending money can create what they call an ideal woman. This also makes the film very similar to "The Handmaid's Tale", creating a rather pessimistic and terrifying future for women.

Although there is currently no such place (or is there, I don't know, a training school for ladies?), but in fact, many parents raise their girls this way. For example, I see a lot of mothers who give birth to girls. Every day, they only wear all kinds of pink for their daughters and use pink things. The room is also full of pink and all kinds of princess dresses. . . Basically, the girl raised like this is a pink girl who has never had the same thing around me since I was a child. I must have a completely different personality and style of painting.

Of course, this paradise is definitely not as simple as it seems, but hidden all kinds of unexpected mysteries. However, the theme of the story is not actually how to transform girls, but the parents of these girls will send them for such "transformation", and their motivation is very scary. These parents do not want to see their children have their own personalities and hobbies, but want to send their daughters in, and then take home a Barbie doll who only smiles and obeys every day. And the reason why such absurd ideas can be realized is to take advantage of various weaknesses of women, such as weakness, timidity, easy to be persuaded, easy to be confused by the beautiful things in front of them, easy to give up position and self. . .

So when I watch this film, I am not only shocked by the strange things happening in front of my eyes, but also feel fearful as a woman, I feel that the world is really too unfriendly to women, and basically lacks the minimum respect, but just as a toy.

Awkwafina is very different from her previous roles in the film this time. She is a relatively reticent person with few lines, but it shows the generally introverted characteristics of Asians, and the shape is very strange. Emma Roberts and Eiza González are both pretty beautiful in the film, and they show off great voices. But the most impressive is Milla Jovovich, not only because of her character's beautiful costumes, but also because she plays a woman with a gentle, charming and mysterious voice, which is also a great contrast to her previous screen image. .

What I am more dissatisfied with is the ending part, which is very hasty and scribbled and is too simple. But the idea of the film is indeed relatively novel, and it also creates a unique future world, which makes people curious and want to see more, but think it is very suitable for making a series.

I am most optimistic about the costume design of this film, which is bold and weird. It combines futuristic and classical styles, which fits the horror atmosphere of the film and feels very suitable for Halloween costumes.
