Better Gene

It's suspicious that this film invites Cate Blanchett-a foreigner-to play the "authentic" New Yorker. A reasonable casting should be Meryl Streep, who was born in New Jersey and has successfully played the joking version of Anna Wintour. But the old man naturally has his methodology. Watching the entire movie, I feel that "Queen of the Elves" is truly unmatched.
New York is originally a place for foreigners. The difference between Jasmine and Ginger is small, and different lives can run wild in this city. Ginger left home early, as the name implies, "birth" and "stiff"; and the reason why Jasmine became Jasmine was acquired. She packed herself into the Birkin Bag, into the man's champagne BMW car, she flipped through her own move on like a catalog.

The extremely long page is about peeling off the luxurious dolls, bringing everyone into Jasmine's memories, and forcing her to the brink of collapse. Her life rushed into the gutter, returned to light, and fell deadly. Fortunately, the ending is a tragedy, otherwise it would be too blind.
Jasmine is an accomplished lady, sitting on a diamond bracelet, her husband's tenderness and scandal, and depression. She is so fragile that there is only one shell. When the big screen closes up her face, the mascara is always fainted to the lower eyelid with tears. She is a beautiful and precious ornamental goldfish. The old man possessed her body and talked eloquently. After leaving the waters of New York, she ran aground everywhere in the ordinary life of the West Bank. Because it is a fish in nature, it has no brains, so it is extremely blind to play with the wrist, once sending her husband to jail, and once forcing her fiance to leave. She was doing stupid things wisely, so she looked pitiful.

Jasmine and Ginger are two genes, put into different lives, and they don't know each other. In good times, they can perfuse and pretend, but in adversity, they can only catch the blind. Neither of them is a deep person, but Jasmine pretends to be more knowledgeable and richer and confident to talk about the world. But when she was kicked into a tragic bankrupt life by the glorious past, the two people were exactly the same stupidity and contrasted.
The old man is really good at making this cute film about the hateful. Even among them, the people of New York are full of malice on the West Coast, and it is also very serious humor. I have to mention the acting skills of the Elf Queen, which is as beautiful as champagne in the upper class, and has beautiful bubbles when down. Sweat and tears are nothing but sadness on others, but she has a brilliant and sad beauty in her performance. Especially the last look is the despair that if you don't die, you won't die.

    Jasmine: No.

Dr. Flicker: It would remove your inhibitions.

Jasmine: I don't really have any inhibitions.

  • Jasmine: Can you please not fight in here? I don't think I can take it. For some reason, my Xanax isn't kicking in.
