that night i wept

That morning i wept
I wept because i loved the streets that took me away from Henry and would lead me back to him

I wept because the process by which i had become a woman was painful

I wept because from now on i would weep less

I wept because i had lost my pain and i was not yet accustomed to its absence.

---- Anaïs Nin in Henry & June

Everything begins so innocently with a deep instinct.

The abnormal pleasure deliciously aches, when this fierce little beauty bursts into love with such an illusion

so unreal, so naked, so perverse.

This kind of enigmatic passion strikes me, reminding me of the wildest moment i fell in love with you, too good to be true.

That's why I could read her, when she murmured, softly :" your eyes made me shy."

Yes, quiet insanity, demon things

I watched it at Sky's house a long time ago, and when I watch it again today, I can't figure out how it was possible to understand it in the first place; of course, I don't quite understand it now. With the exception of Maria de Medeiros, every character doesn't seem to be the best choice. By the way, the soundtrack has Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, so it only sounds good at the beginning~

Three people who want each other: Henry, longing for the approval of others, so after receiving the support of Anais, she abandons Joan emotionally; Anais, longing for a desire called love, she Like a cheetah, using sex to capture its prey; Joan, longing for the understanding of others, a poor woman who does everything for a living, willingly dedicates herself to Henry, to someone who is willing to understand herself, describe herself, and immortalize herself. Henry and Joan both want too much. For people, the desires of the flesh are always easier to satisfy than the desires of the spirit. Anais is a lover of giving, and she dominates both relationships, but it's hard to tell whether uncontrollable love lives up to its name. Henry's physical and spiritual desires were satisfied at Anais, but this undoubtedly hurt Joan. However, Joan considers herself incompetent, so she places all her hopes on others, but she doesn't know that others are the most unreliable. Henry had endured Joan's infidelity with another woman, but Joan couldn't stand Henry's infidelity. Their marriage, the imbalance in giving and getting, also caused a gap between the two.
