"Daughter of Sand" is a black and white film from the 1960s. The storyline is very simple. The film is more than two hours long. It tells the story of a biologist who came to a deserted fishing village to collect insects and was lured into the sand dunes by the villagers. The story of living with a lonely widow in the hut and unable to escape.

He and she were trapped in a remote wooden hut in the sand dunes. There was no electricity. The villagers had to bring water on time. Sand storms would raged from time to time. People need to dig sand every day, and let people drag the sand up with ropes. However, sand storms will blow sand, and it will repeat itself. At first, he just wanted to stay overnight and experience the local life. The next day, he found that the ladder to connect with the outside world was gone. He roared like thunder, he was going to go out and go back to Tokyo. He tried to escape, but the sand was like a surging wave, and he was like a drowning man, unable to resist the sea. Compared with the vast sand dunes, he is too small. He paid attention to the woman beside him, full of seductive lines, and in despair, the primitive desire made him forget everything, only him and her. He doesn't want to run away anymore, he doesn't need it when he gets the radio he's always wanted, he's free, but he doesn't want to leave anymore, she's got their baby, he's used to it .

At the end of the film, according to the law, the whereabouts are unknown for more than seven years and sentenced to be missing... At this moment, he, a biologist, has ceased to exist in terms of law and society.

Although the plot of the story is simple, the people who watched it for more than two hours have been nervous, looking forward to the development of the story. When he was struggling, everything was unknown, which made people uneasy waiting for the result. The music and photography of the film played a big role.

The music is shrill, creepy, and deeply disturbing because of the uncertainty.

At the beginning of the film, it is an insect under a magnifying glass, the white sand is like the waves of the sea, the sky and the sand are connected together, and people are so small in the vast sand. Flow, like waves, like mudslides, rushing down. It shows the vastness of the sand and brings out the insignificance and helplessness of people. The most impressive are several shots of human bodies expressing primitive desires, the feminine curves of the lying heroine covered in sand, the close-up of the heroine's neck when she eats, and the naked back of the hero, full of temptation. A huge contrast to the harsh environment.

He longed for freedom and did not want to be trapped by others. After he knew that his efforts were in vain, he bowed his head and chose to compromise, and he voluntarily lived according to the arranged life. In fact, each of us is not.

The antinomy of primitive and civilized humanity. The details are rich and vivid, and the erotic drama near the end is full of irony and strength. Deserts do not eat people, people eat people. Mitsui Hiroji is really the best endorsement for the villain. lb/5lbbyqxb9i52

The grains of sand under the lens are spectacular and beautiful for a while, and horrible and ugly for a while. There are a lot of close-up shots in the film, the skin covered with tiny grains of sand fills the screen, making people very uneasy, and the soundtrack also comes out from time to time to help, deepening the uneasiness. What is freedom? When people do not have the freedom to choose, some are angry, wronged, and emotionally dominant, and the rest are just in between, but when there is freedom of choice, the choice itself becomes the focus of attention.
