"Jane Eyre" - A Novel Beyond Time and Space Recently, because of the review of "Jane Eyre", I have a great interest in the writers and novels of that period. I have read Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, South and North, etc. . It is very emotional, the love story 200 years ago is still very attractive to us now. Seeing a short comment, Woolf believes that Jane Eyre and Austen's book fans are naturally opposed, saying that Jane Eyre's novel is relatively narrow, and that it lacks a broad vision and so on. After I saw it, I was very angry. Of course, as a book reviewer, if you look at any work, you can probably pick out shortcomings and flaws from it! I think Austen's novels are fairytale love stories. For Ms. Austen, the pattern and significance of her works are higher than the circle and era in which she lived. She advocates that both parties in love respect each other and cannot marry because of money, status, wealth and status. Such a concept of marriage and love is beyond that era. At the same time, its novels show the customs of that era, which is very interesting. I think that's the point of her work. And Jane Eyre, I think this novel is not only beyond the era of Ms. Charlotte Bronte, but I think Jane Eyre has a stronger sense of life. Its influence is deeper in time and space than Austen's novels. Many people watch Jane Eyre as a love movie, a female inspirational drama. But in my opinion, it has an exploration of life, what is the relationship between the world around me and me? What is my meaning in the universe? It is thinking about the meaning of loneliness, the meaning of self-esteem, the meaning of life. So from my point of view, Austen's novels will still be read in another 50 or 100 years, but Jane Eyre's influence is definitely older than Austen's. Both Austen and Bronte's novels are, in my opinion, excellent works. I personally prefer Jane Eyre, it's very shocking. Because of Woolf's criticism, I deliberately checked her life and works, but I didn't expect it to be a very tragic story... The ordeals that many cultural women have endured are much deeper and longer...
