The most successful rescue operation in U.S. military history

As a classic battle example, "The Great Rescue" shows us all the necessary links for a successful operation: sufficient reconnaissance and enemy intelligence, perfect battle plan and command, excellent combat personnel, good friendly cooperation and logistics ...

a very good film, a bit like "Black Hawk Down", those who want to watch military can learn to fight, those who want to watch war can see guns, and those who want to watch love can see emotions ( This is better than black hawk :-) and people who want to watch the blockbuster can see the explosion :-D

Good historical significance. Planning and cooperation made the rescue very successful. I happened to be studying this history, and the English-only CD I watched in class was slightly different from the online version. The last part of love passed by the sound of the whole class chewing hot dogs and potato chips... Of course, there is no such emotional entanglement in history. Capt Prince is as his name suggests =w=~ My impression of the US military has improved overall.

The Great Raid quotes

  • Lt. Colonel Mucci: General, this is the man who led the raid... Captain Prince.

General Kreuger: Congratulations, soldier. I'm very sorry for your losses, but I want to let you know you men have done a great service to your country.

    Captain Prince: Thank you, sir.

  • [Japanese have just fired mortar shells at the escaping troops and POW's]

Captain Prince: Get a base of fire on the *Son of a bitch*!
