I watched this movie for Lao Bai and HBO.
The overall feeling of the film is rather dull, which may be caused by the fact that it is to restore the history. If you don't like political movies, you probably won't be able to watch it. If you want to find the feeling of House of Cards in this film, I am afraid you will be even more disappointed.
Lao Bai's acting skills are not to be mentioned. He has a southern accent, and the range of movements is a bit large, which shows Linden's irritability and stubbornness to the fullest. Of course, there is also weakness when trying to retreat. That's how good actors are. Looking at Linden, there is no shadow of Lao Bai at all.
Learn about a piece of history through a film. Although you can't believe it all, but watching one more movie will give you one more perspective. He doesn't look at anything, he's just a narrow circle, like a frog at the bottom of a well.
