Watching "Shooting the Pianist" is as satisfying as reading a classic novel

"Shooting the Pianist" may not be Truffaut 's most famous masterpiece, but it is definitely an interesting work. The whole film is shrouded in a cheerful and sad mood, combined with a natural and casual photography style that is not prominent , deep and entertaining monologues, and jump-starting strokes all make this film a joy to watch .

Watching "Shooting the Pianist", I felt like I was reading a classical novel that suits my little taste. I not only enjoyed the pleasure of being immersed in it, but also accepted the sadness and emptiness of life indifferently.

The movie tells the story of a pianist, Edward, who hides his identity as an accompaniment pianist in a tavern in order to cut off memories of an unhappy marriage. One day, his brother suddenly appeared, breaking his daily monotony, while his enemies chased and killed him. While talking about love with the waiter who admired him, an emotional bond occurred, climaxed, and disappeared... In the end, the lover died again, and he continued to start his monotonous accompaniment life!

It is said that the actor Charlie Aznauer , who plays the pianist Edward in the film, is a well-known French folk singer . Many of his songs also exude a touch of despair. He performed such a sad love very appropriately and without taking the scene.

The deepest impression comes from the eyes of the male protagonist Edward, who are cold, sincere, full of spirit and energy. Melancholy mixed with unrestrainedness, very much like the feeling that Tony Leung gave me.

In addition, I also like the inner monologues in the film, which are a little humorous, a little dreamy, and a little unruly.

I have to mention those interesting magic tricks : the pianist was hesitating during the interview and wanted to leave, then a woman came out, the door opened, and he went in; and the scene where the pianist's wife committed suicide, All imaginative.

Edward makes me feel a bit like the eternal Yin Xueyan in Bai Xianyong's novels . He looks bright, he is too elegant, he doesn't have too much recollection and melancholy for his feelings, and then he quickly enters another identity of his own.

The director didn't give him time to think about it, so he passively accepted everything from life, and then sank into the sea of life as if nothing had happened.

Truffaut said that he did not want to highlight any theme, and the male protagonist made an effort to pursue what he wanted, but in the end he was lost.

Life is like that.

The meaning that you identify and search for is not necessarily the meaning of life. There are no specific standards to follow in life, and there are no rules to follow in life.

NY 150. Compared with the serious and depressing debut of the first feature, the second feature film diametrically shows the strength of Truffaut's all-rounder, developing a crime story with a traditional Hollywood motif into such a "no theme" film, which has a B-level at the same time. The charm of the film, the French romance, the humorous dialogue of the genius, and the tragic color of fatalism. The most impressive thing is that when the enemy blows water, he said that if XX my mother will fall, and then the next scene is his mother falling.

CC Collection No. 315, produced in France in 1960. Love and horror are not well told, and there are some inexplicable scenes, the paragraphs are bluntly connected, and the story sequence is quite jumpy. As Truffaut's second work, it is clear that he has no personal experience with the first adaptation. It also made a common problem with new directors. I wanted to talk too much, and it was all in a mess. The French New Wave has not been able to adapt to the American crime genre, and it is far from Hitchcock. 5
