Kyle's experience is actually very easy to resonate. Work doesn't go well, I want to break through but are bound by various restrictions; I want to give up but have scruples and reluctance. In reality, although most people have ideas for change, they ultimately lack the courage to give up the journey they have now and embark on the journey of searching again. Most of them are unwilling and complaining to compromise with reality. Kyle also chose to compromise at first. When the food critic went to the restaurant to taste the dishes for the first time, in the end he chose to start again to discover and search. But this is not because of how brave he is, but to a certain extent his recklessness and impulsiveness have driven himself into a desperate situation.
When he lost his job, Kyle himself didn't know what path he would choose in the future. His idea is to find another job in other restaurants as soon as possible. If this is the case, his life is not substantially different from before. Perhaps he should be thanked by his ex-wife and friends for giving him a hand at his turning point, prompting him to embark on a suitable path.
