Today, August 7, 2006, DAVID DUCHOVNY's 46th birthday.
Although the DUCHOVNY in my heart is always the same as when he was 33 years old, I have to admit that he is now my father's age.
There is nothing more cruel than witnessing the destruction of a face over time, especially when the face is your favorite. From the first season to the ninth season of "X-Files", I watched as time left such clear marks on DUCHOVNY's body: loose skin, thinning hair, fat body... the heroic actor after all Leaving me, replaced by a director who is obsessed with dreams.
After all, I am not so superficial that I only value a person's face. Although today's Duchovny is no longer beautiful, he has irreplaceably become a classic for men in my heart.
As a loyal X-Files fan, I was really attracted by the stubborn and indifferent temperament of the male protagonist MULDER when I first came into contact with "X-Files". But with the in-depth understanding of the plot, I gradually grew into a mature X-Files fan, and I paid more attention to the universe, outlook on life and the dissection and display of the world conveyed by the drama. Moreover, as a girl, she seems to prefer the female protagonist (see the article Scully for details), resenting the bleak fate of the female protagonist caused by MULDER, and thus feels a bit resentful towards Mulder.
I say this to emphasize that the classic man in my mind is DAVID DUCHOVNY, not his MULDER.
The 46 years he has gone through has exuded a strange light:
At the age of 13, DUCHOVNY was admitted to New York's Collegiate School (New York's Collegiate School) with a good scholarship, which is an elite private boys' high school that trained President Kennedy. After high school, he received a Bachelor of English Literature in Princeton in 1982. The thesis was titled "The Schizophrenic Critique of Pure Reason in Beckett's Early Novels." I don't have a prestigious school complex, but it just so happens that three of my favorite actors (DEAN CAIN / DAVID DUCHOVNY / WENTWORTH MILLER) all graduated from the Ivy League prestigious Princeton in the United States. This prestigious school, dubbed the "Prince Tun", has not only stepped out of Einstein and many Nobel Prize winners, but also out of the personable DUCHOVNY.
After studying for a Master of Arts in English at Yale University, he was writing his doctoral dissertation "Magic and Technology in Contemporary Poetry and Prose" (Magic and Technology in Contemporary Poetry and Prose) when he started his career as an actor. This paper has not been completed yet.
Later, he worked as a meat deliverer, a university assistant, a banquet, a bar waiter, and also appeared in some erotic movies and televisions.
DUCHOVNY has never been too popular. Although the number of X fans around the world is considerable, the unspoken rules of the showbiz seem to always require actors to make achievements in movies, but DUCHOVNY's achievements in movies can be said to be miserable. The university professor he played in "Evolutionary Crisis" was nothing but MULDER's nonsense front page. In "Full Frontal Nudity", he also jokingly "played" a corpse wrapped in plastic sheeting, and he didn't even show his face for a few seconds. . In 2005, the film "THE HOUSE OF D" ("THE HOUSE OF D"), which he wrote, directed and acted by himself, was released. The overly personal style left the audience at a loss and the box office was mediocre. In this film, DUCHOVNY tells the story of his growth. No matter whether the film is successful or not, he finally lives up to his commitment to the screen.
After some nonsense, it is inevitable to ask yourself what you like Duchovny. He is smart, humorous, and talented. He left the enviable prestigious school with no hesitation, and left his ordinary academic life; when his career was in full swing due to "X FILE", he let Mulder disappear from the screen; he declined "Star Wars" and clung to his name The child of "Broken
Hearts "... Suddenly, it turns out that DUCHOVNY embodies all my understanding of life: clinging to dreams, being firm in faith, and walking my own way...
