故事里有一个见习上尉，他犹豫，胆怯，发现敌船的时候还不敢拉响警报，不象是军人，船员们说有他在的时候，就有不幸，他是被诅咒的人。于是在一个黑夜，他抱着铁球沉入了海底，浮出来的海面的是那张惨白的脸，睁着的双眼象永远无法合上。
电影院里面一片沉默。
可是他临时之前说了一句话，“明天天会晴的，我知道。”于是天真的晴了。
我们才发现人类忘记伤痛如此容易，是的，我们都不是强者，但我们有时必须勇敢，因为我们在面对死亡的时候无路可退，我们在面对挑战的时候，必须迎难而上。有时我们不幸成为悲剧人物，我们跌倒了，无人扶起，我们死亡了，化成了尘埃。我们无法选择改变过去，所以我们前行前行。我们可以悲哀，但不应该伤感。就是有这么多苦楚我们才珍惜活着，就是这么多死亡，我们才更珍惜乐观。
然后我思考了一下勇气，真的，什么是勇气呢？我们承认死，勇于死，或者也是一种勇气吧，而我们忘记伤痛，忘记不幸，也许，只是也许也是一种勇气吧。
于是另外的人物也慢慢浮现在我的眼前，一个十几岁的孩子在战争中失去了自己的右臂，可是他躺在病床上看书。
船上的医生，自己取出自己胃部的子弹。
我喜欢这部影片的这些片断，是的，我们也许就是应该忘记那些伤痛，我们要活着活着，然后迎向明天的晴天。喜欢那在没有战争的时候，他们拉着琴，喜欢他们在船上修理那被击坏了的船首像，老天保佑，我终于看到了船首像，为此我微笑了。
