Not playing enough tension

This is a lonely heroic film in the middle of the standard: childhood misfortune, blindness and loss of his father, super powers in disguise, and used to fight evil forces and claim justice. On the bad side, there is a little guy and a boss. The basic plot can also be regarded as the universal mode of hero movies, and there is nothing brilliant or embarrassing. Then why is it not good-looking, especially in the second half? Why is Batman the Dark Knight so good-looking? actor.

The brave man defends justice in court during the day and fights crime at night. The two seem to be the same. So far away. The practice in court is that everyone is equal, with fair rules, rigorous testimony, and everybody's evidence to seek justice as far as possible. The brave man in the night is just beyond what he believes to be correct to use violence to control violence. This is a quick way to control violence out of private indignation. At the same time, the violence suppressor is also a legal criminal. This kind of conflict has been compared to Batman. The protagonist does not show this kind of conflict very well, and the audience is not worried about it.

Heather: Matt, it's Heather. Are you there? Of course you're not there. You're never there. At least, not for me. Look, I didn't want to do this over the phone, but it's not like you've given me any choice. I mean, It's been three months, and I've never even seen your apartment. Every time we sleep together, I wake up in the morning alone. I mean, Jesus, where do you go at three o'clock in the morning?

  • Matt Murdock: Where'd you learn how to fight like that?

Elektra: My father. He had me study with a different sensei every year since I was five years old.

Matt Murdock: Sounds like he wanted to turn you into some kind of a warrior.

Elektra: No. Just not a victim.
