There are many successful movies in the history of film because of a great idea, such as "The Matrix", "Terminator", "Inception", "Toy Story", "Monsters Company", "Butterfly Effect", etc. It succeeded because of the unreliable and unconventional creativity. Horror movies also need a great idea, and the "Most Ghost Street One" introduced today is just such a movie.
Everyone has done nightmares, but few people will put nightmares on the screen. Cameron achieved it, so "Terminator" was achieved, and Craven achieved it, so "Mortal Street" was achieved. "Night Ghost Street One" tells the story of a demon Freddy who killed people in a nightmare. The victims are young people, because the audience of horror movies is mainly young people. As long as the characters in the play have a nightmare, Freddy will appear, chasing you in the nightmare, and what’s more terrifying is that as long as you kill you in a dream, you will die in reality. This great idea is anything before. Filmmakers never thought of it. So when the person who escaped in the nightmare wakes up, he quickly tells the adults and asks for help. But who would believe what you said, think you are talking about dreams, no one will take it seriously, or even think that you have some mental problems. The protagonist has to avoid nightmares by not letting himself sleep, but who can resist not sleeping. The sense of helplessness and loneliness of the characters in the play can easily impress the audience, empathizing with them, and then being brought into the plot to breathe and share difficulties with the characters in the play. This is also the reason why this horror film is successful. With the development of the plot, because the characters in the play are always resisting sleep, it is easy to doze off and fall asleep anywhere. That is to say, it is easy to dream of Freddy and be killed in any place. This kind of life is always momentary. The danger of being threatened and precarious has increased the audience's sympathy and sense of substitution. This montage effect of the borderless fusion of reality and dreams also increases the viewing of the movie and makes the movie story more attractive. Many horror scenes in the movie can be called classics. The director Craven is concerned about the horror brought to mankind by nightmares. The feeling must be deep. Maybe he has a deep understanding of Freud's "Analysis of Dreams." In the climax of the movie, the protagonist has to fight against the devil in order to survive. He can't kill Freddy in a nightmare, but accidentally discovers that he can lead Freddy out of the dream and kill him in reality. This is another great idea of the director. At the end of the film, the film was successfully completed with an open ending, allowing the audience to dream about it endlessly. It is so many great ideas that have made this excellent horror film and also the godfather of Craven’s horror film.
Another highlight of this film is the maiden performance of John Nedep. It is also very interesting to see the slightly shy and childish Nedep's performance. Movie Review: (Excellent)
