Reality is more cruel than movies

Mossad’s revenge operation is one of the most famous events in the history of modern spies. It spans a long period of time, has a wide geographical area, and is complicated and well-planned. It has experienced various political events such as wars and diplomatic disputes and is determined to continue. , Are unprecedented. Just any one of these assassinations can be made into a wonderful movie. However, Spielberg has been less interested in dramatic treasure hunting and cruel killings since he finished filming "Saving Private Rain". Instead, he has turned to thinking about the hidden human nature and the refracted relationship between civilians and the government and the system. Relationships, such as "Catch You", "Happiness Terminal", and even last year's "World War". Therefore, "Munich" is not full of exciting murder and conspiracy that we thought at first, on the contrary, it was a little dull, although some critics still thought that the film was too bloody.

But even so, I can say with certainty that real events are more cruel and cold than movies. Reorganize the various killings that took place 20 years ago, and then compare the movie, you can find many subtle comparisons, as well as the director's hesitation and helplessness towards the audience (especially considering that the audience must include Arabs and Israelis) ). I insist that Spielberg did not express his thoughts in this film.

In order to have a central character in the movie, the protagonist and a series of supporting characters around him were designed to form an assassination team. In fact, there were multiple assassination teams back then. I think there was only one assassination target. There were 11 people who were assassinated in multiple countries. Multiple teams were more efficient. Why do you want to assassinate 11 people? Because I had to fight for 11 Israelis, I had to make up 11 of them anyway.

The second assassin was named Hamsari, a doctor. He lived in a noble residential area in Paris and married a French wife. It can also be seen in the movie that he was quite educated, speaking French and English to his wife. Discuss current affairs vigorously with reporters. In the movie, the assassination team used him when he was not at home, sneaked in and planted a bomb in the phone, and then took him home to answer the phone and detonated it by remote control. In fact, Hamsari has tight guards, and it is impossible for the assassination team to enter in this way. But at that time Mossad used a very clever method, which is simply more exciting than the current movie. They first pretended to be a plumber and destroyed the telephone cable connecting Hamsari’s home. Hamsari’s phone started to malfunction. He angrily asked the telephone exchange to repair it, but the call for repair was unexpectedly stopped. In Mossad's tool cart outside the apartment. The agents in the car had been manipulating the line before, for a while, but not for a while, until Hamsari was inexhaustible to report for repairs. So the "telephone bureau" told Hamsari that a technician would come over immediately. After a while, a technician came to the door, but his service was to install a bomb in the phone! I remember that there was a similar plot in the bad film "Italian Studio" 3 years ago. In fact, the screenwriter was Mossad from 20 years ago. This reflects that most of the so-called "art" is not necessarily higher than life, but it must be derived from life.

After assassinating three targets, Mossad came up with an idea to raid the PLO headquarters in Beirut because there were three other characters on the death list. In the film, the assassination team pretended to be a woman, approached the building, and then killed several targets. In the meantime, a child was spared and finally broke through safely. In fact, that battle was so tragic that even Wu Yusen's movie was eclipsed by it!
First, 30 Israeli raiders rushed to the PLO building and fired at one of the targets in the bedroom, one of the leaders of the "Black September", Najer. His wife wanted to protect her husband and was shot to death. In the plot of the movie, a child came over in a daze. An Israeli raid team was about to shoot, but was quickly stopped by a nearby team member and let him go. This child is supposed to be Najer's 15-year-old son. In fact, he was also shot to death. This is the first fig leaf for Israeli agents in the movie.
At the same time, a woman next door screamed out of the door during the operation and was also shot dead on the spot. However, it was later discovered that she was an innocent outsider. The movie has no such plot, the second fig leaf.
In the movie, the special agents ran away in the rain of bullets after completing their mission. But after Mossad killed the three targets, he began to sort out the documents in the desk drawers and safes of the killed leaders, and it took a full half an hour. At this time, the battle has just begun. The PLO fighters on the street began to fight back, and the Israeli commandos held their positions at the door. At the same time, there are PLO fighters on the 8th floor. They use elevators to lift people into the street in order to fight. When the bucket was close to the road, the raid team coldly killed all the people in the bucket, then pulled the corpse out, sent the bucket up again, and waited for the next batch in the dark. This plot is really chilling! It is conceivable that if it is made into a movie, it will be unbearable for the Arab world. Before leaving, the Israeli raiders razed the entire building to the ground, and many Palestinians were killed in it. More than 100 Palestinians were killed in this campaign, including 3 assassins.
There is also a plot omitted in the film, which actually reflects the rigor, simplicity and even humor of the Mossad plan. During the war, Mossad agents reported to the Lebanese authorities from public telephone booths throughout Beirut that the Palestinian opposition faction was undergoing a conflagration. At that time, the Lebanese authorities had a headache for the Palestinian militants all over the city. Hearing that they were killing each other, the police avoided them. After an hour of fighting, the Israelis started calling the helicopters parked on the beach to pick up the wounded. But at this time, the Beirut Police Department and the Beirut Coast Guard Command both received calls that looked like the other side, saying that they had already Let a few helicopters take off, and it was impossible to determine the location of the disturbance for a while. This caused incredible chaos, and no one expected to verify it. As a result, the Israeli raiders left Lebanon easily.

The plot in which the agent used the incendiary bomb to assassinate the "Black September" liaison officer Hill is also far less dramatic than the actual plot.
In the film, the Israeli agents once met "Black September" on a narrow road, but they lied about themselves as the Spanish "ETA" organization and avoided the exchange of fire. Here is the most important dialogue in the movie. The Palestinians believe that European organizations such as "ETA" will not succeed, because they can "go home" after they have done their work, and they have no home to return. This is the fundamental reason why they firmly believe that they will win. "Nation is everything", the Palestinian said. When the Israelis questioned how long it would take for the Palestinians to succeed, the Palestinians had a beautiful rhetorical question, how much time did the Jews spend to build a nation?

In the film, the Palestinians also mentioned that the founding of Israel was the guilty feedback of the Europeans who killed the Jews with poison gas, and his father did not poison the Jews to death. The implication is that the Arabs do not need and should not redeem the sins of the Europeans. Is this reminiscent of what Iranian President Ahmadinejad said some time ago? I wonder if he read the script or copied it from him.
In fact, I have always understood what Ahmadinejad did. Ahmadinejad’s denial of the Holocaust of the Jews was indeed seized, but he believed that Arabs should not be used to pay off debts for Europeans. Europeans and Americans knew it well, but they avoided talking about it. But what’s strange is that it’s not an Arab who speaks this principle and can be heard by all people on earth (I mean it can trigger such an effect now), it’s not an Arab, but this Persian Ahmadinejad and an American Jew. Spielberg.

This dialogue is one of the highlights of the whole film, and after the film kills Hill, it also arranges a gun battle confrontation between the agent and the Palestinian at the assassination scene. It's also very good. But this is a fictitious plot. The reality is more funny. At that time, the three agents met together after completing the assassination mission in the hotel, and then deliberately walked through the entrance of the hotel staff instead of going out from the main entrance. This is cool, and it complies with the agent principle of "Never get out of where you go". But as a result, as soon as he walked to the entrance and opened the door, he saw that the black KGB car that had been seen before was also parked right in front of them! It turned out that the KGB outside heard the explosion. As an experienced agent, he also thought of going in through the side door to see what happened. The Israeli agents never dreamed that such a thing would happen, and they could have easily exited the entrance door! Then there was another gunfight, but the two sides dared not fall in love with each other and fled in panic.
The so-called correct method may not always apply.

Although there are a lot of internal conflicts in the film when Israeli agents perform national missions, the basic tone of the movie is still Mossad invincible. In fact, good luck will not follow to the end. After succeeding so many people in a row, Mossad's luck has ended.

Mossad was determined to kill the number one target, Salima, but he admitted the wrong person in Norway and killed an innocent person! This is like a doctor who wants to remove the left kidney but removes the right kidney. It is an incredible scandal for the agents! To make matters worse, two of the agents were also caught by the Norwegian police. As if this were not to the extreme, one of the agents actually suffered from "claustrophobia". As soon as he was locked in a small cell, he was all recruited, and all the assassination teams were wiped out. The psychological screening of Mossad's hype was also laughed and generous.

Of course, the movie didn't mention these, and it basically ended here. In fact, the assassination operation 20 years ago did come to an end temporarily, because October 6, 1973, which was the Day of Atonement, the steel torrent of the Egyptian army crossed the Pahlavi line of defense on the Suez Canal at lightning speed. , Jordan, Syria, and Iraq declared war on Israel at the same time! War is the highest manifestation of human political activities. All well-designed organs and clandestine assassination plots will give way to the rumbling war between the state apparatuses.

There are still a few people on the death list. One of them died of cancer. Salima himself was finally killed by Mossad 5 years later, and 4 passers-by were also affected. The final target was Daoud, who was sentenced for attempting to kidnap King Hussein of Jordan. He was pardoned and released on the eve of the "Yompi War". Mossad has not found him since.

Until 1981, Daoud was suddenly shot in the lobby of a hotel in Poland. The shooting was still a Mossad agent, but he had another mission in Poland, but he suddenly recognized the famous Daoud in the hotel, shot it on impulse, and then fled in chaos!

The entire revenge operation lasted 9 years.

After looking back at the events 20 years ago, we can understand Spielberg's difficulties. It is impossible for him to copy history completely. Because history is more cruel than we have seen; it is impossible for him to reproduce the brilliant and thrilling scenes of the Mossad operation, although the material is a ready-made script for any screenwriter, because in this way the film The meaning of "Israel" has become to beautify Israeli agents, and will hopelessly become a vulgar thrilling gunfight. Its true meaning of human torture will be completely weakened; at the same time, I personally believe in Spielberg’s original In the film, I don't just want to explore human nature and the conflict and opposition between people and the government. In fact, there is only one movie theme of this theme: the love and hate of two nations. In the context of history, I think the torture of people and conscience is second. As the Palestinian said, there is a country before anything else. But as a Jew and living in the United States, Spielberg could not shoot such a theme, because people like him should know that in addition to the questions, the film should also give answers and hopes, or at least it should be seen. The trajectory of the director's exploration.

But the movie did not.

It is not his fault. So far, who in this world can solve this problem?
