They are desperate than fireworks

It is said that the first season is just a foreplay, and the big show comes on stage later. But as far as I have only watched the prologue of the season, there have been all kinds of surprises-what is it? The topic turned out to be an introduction? Dare to watch the fire again? Since it is a big book and a special book, it may be exaggerated to say that among all the film and television literary works I have seen, none of the descriptions of the situation of women can exceed the despair of this drama.

Why despair, because despair is commonality, despair is the environment.

After reading it, it was the first time in my life to reflect on how I used to babble and call myself a patriarch. My patriarchal view is based on the arbitrary theory that "men are better than women in everything." The difference between superior and inferior is determined by biological nature, so I hate what feminists say about "equality". You have to emphasize equality of opportunity for differences that are inherently uneven. Wouldn't you emphasize your particularity as a weak person? If you are treated higher because of your particularity, then this is the opposite of equality.

Demonstrating equality means not being special. All disadvantaged groups share the same truth.

But I also admire the awesome women, and this appreciation is not enough. I don’t regard them as outstanding representatives of women, but I feel that they are awesome because they are not like women, and they get rid of the natural features of women. Weaknesses and shortcomings can be so shining. In my imagination, outstanding women should all stand on the side of men, and then jointly despise the remaining most, true, mediocre women.

The above perverted three-sex views, followed me for many years, until I encountered this drama, it was completely shattered by gorgeousness and mercilessness-there is no possibility to prove a woman's arrogance, there is no one. Maybe you jump out of the disadvantaged group and stand with men. It is a masculine polygraph.

There are many female characters in the play, all of them are typical and not special, that is, they represent the universality of existence in the legend. The various forms and situations of women in the city are shown in various responses. What is painful is that from any No one can see any way out--

A. Bored full-time housewife. Husband and child is the all and only requirement of society and family. "Take your children to the community to see the swimming pool filled with water" is considered a "very interesting" one-day activity. Julianne Moore was living like that. Unhappiness is normal, and unhappiness is very traditional. Betty's breakthrough direction is that the divorced female neighbor becomes the person she is most afraid of becoming, but this anticipated sense of fear is enough to crush her into depression.

B. To be independent is to support yourself, so just be a young woman who strives for the top in the workplace. So it becomes another common type, desperately trying to prove that she is shining apart from female characteristics (of course, peggy is not so extreme, the good thing about this drama is that there is no absolute character). Think this is awesome? Think you can’t see if you block others? The most painful thing in the world is not because of the female body being paid attention to, but even if you are outstanding, others are still paying attention to your female body.

Peggy is the most professionally accomplished woman so far in the first season, but at the same time, her discrimination experience is also the most frequent and the most uncomfortable. As a newcomer in the big environment of the company, she feels the most intuitive and obvious, if I really go crazy 100 million times. Presumably, many people find it difficult to adapt to the first time when watching the drama. They can't understand how a group of men who are still social elites can all be so vicious and vicious. Women's desire to be cherished and admired because of their excellence. They were completely crushed into dregs by their unconcealed and insignificant faces and words, but as much as they were exaggerated, they were as real as they were. Even today, do you think everything has changed? It's just that the men have learned to pretend to be civilized. When the brothers are only their own people behind closed doors, apart from the next three-way discussion, do you think that a group of people will really love Shen Jiayi at a 45-degree angle?

The times in the play have not made the slightest psychological progress compared to the present. The only difference is that there was no need to pretend at that time, which seemed even more shocking.
In an office environment, Don may be the least insignificant, but on the contrary, he reflects the problem best.

Don met Peggy for the first time, and he was helping Peggy who was harassed by Pete’s verbal inertia, giving people the impression that Don was somewhat different from them. He seemed to be more civilized and respectful. Well, male pig’s feet. Every time Peggy is discriminated against and harassed, she is implicitly placed with fairness and extraordinary expectations.

But Don, did nothing. He didn't have any behavior like will in the newsroom, and he had a sense of humanistic care that he couldn't wait to empathize with the entire company. When Peggy made a proposal and muttered that he didn't even have a chair, he showed an expression of "it should be like this" just like the men next to him. When Peggy asked him to raise his salary in the office, he mocked and looked down more than others in his tone. He was not the savior, he was just one of them.
Slowly, don's humanity is displayed more comprehensively in the plot promotion. How much he wants to show his perfection in front of others, it shouldn't be said more. So I feel that according to his behavior, even if he doesn't agree with him in his heart, it seems reasonable to pretend to show respect for women.
Then why didn't he pretend? Because the environment at that time did not require him to pretend to be in this respect. The society treats women as it should be. He doesn't need to take the initiative to care to show that he is more civilized, nor does he need to pretend to be careless to prevent it from appearing abrupt in front of other men. He doesn't feel this at all. So although the ridicule and discrimination that Peggy has received come from other men, don, who has never said anything out of the ordinary, is the most common and chilling in this regard.

C. In that case, I will no longer be aggressive, and I will enjoy being watched and favored because of my female status in the workplace. I am not bound by any emotions. By the way, I am like a man to find myself some fun in the world. This proposition is older, what is the future of joan? Enjoy freedom for a lifetime, become the samantha of the 1960s? There is no such space for her. Joan's ability to work comes from her ease in interpersonal relations. This position is always just a logistics department. She has no ability to understand the company's business itself and does not feel the need to understand it. Faced with Peggy's gradual penetration into the business field, she showed a little surprise, with a little jealousy outside. Although she has the capital to play a man in her hands, in her heart, she never feels that men control the world. One thing can be shaken.

The words "Merry" and "Laughter" were born for the difference between men and women. If Joan one day loses the capital that she depends on because she is no longer beautiful and big, she will still find a good condition to marry him in the end. ? Become another desperate housewife by sharing her husband with a woman like herself back then? She will not be reconciled, nor can she bear to think of it for her.

So I don't know if it was written for the next foreshadowing or pure writing. The screenwriter actually designed a plot for Joan to be confessed by the same sex. According to my above-mentioned logic, this can only be thought of as exploring the possibility of another way out. If you do not have to be associated with men in orientation, will you be able to escape this kind of discriminatory environment? Joan's reaction was to be polite and dismissive, and immediately gave the other party a reply by throwing his arms around the stranger. I would rather be trampled by a hundred wretched men than to be a goddess of a true love. She should love the patriarchal society the most, because the patriarchal environment can give full play to her advantages than the feminist environment.

D. Poor fate cannot depend on society. How about fate? Like Jewish women, the standard is white, rich and beautiful, and IQ points are added. She couldn't pass the scumbag level again.

I like the role of Rachel very much. At first glance, it is very strong and resolute in rejection, but the plot is advancing, and it is not the black and white face type. The screenwriter gave her too high a smart value. Every time she played against don, she clearly saw the dark psychology of the other party and exposed it mercilessly, especially in various situations that directly related to her feelings and desires. Being able to maintain such a calm judgment is indeed higher than that of ordinary people. But from a perceptual point of view, they can't bear the other side's rogue. It is also lost to emotional temptation. Women always sacrifice more than men.

Speaking of this, I can't hide it, I have to talk about don. There is no need to talk about nonsense such as experience determines personality. From the moment of changing his identity, don has reconstructed his own image of the world. This image is excellent and positive, without any discordant elements. So don is different from the fascinating male pig's feet in the past. He does not have the evil charm of unreasonable cards (in order to attract customers, the work strategy is not counted). He struggled out of the quagmire of non-mainstream. Everything is trying to fit the mainstream. All the mistresses he looked for were beautiful and independent, and had a short-term stable relationship. For the low-level temporary lambs like the sisters that Roger found, he politely laughed and refused, thinking, "Is this way of dating a game worthy of Lao Tzu?" "While dismissing it, he also created a noble and extraordinary appearance, and even he believed it.

On the back of Don's glamorous image, there are only the weakness and selfishness of ordinary people, and his unique sense of extreme insecurity. The combination of these forms the habit that he is never responsible for any behavior and must be clear about everything. This habit is sometimes not even for showing to the public, nor is it entirely to prevent the other party from being eloquent, but just to satisfy him. The idea of his own image seems to be innocent in everything. He knows that as long as he says a word, he can stop betty from making commercials, but if it seems unreasonable like this, he won't say it. Of course, he won't feel unreasonable in his heart, as long as he stumbles secretly. It is even more true for Rachel, who has been stalked and successfully overthrown, so he still has to ask the other person to ask him personally, as if he is not responsible for self-hypnosis in this way. All this is a reason for him to make a beautiful illustrator and lover throw the TV set. He avoids uttering the nasty wishes he wants to achieve, but he will rely on himself to be loved, and let the other party do it in various ways. . It's so broken. Just like looking into the mirror.

E. Relatively speaking, only the beauty illustrator can give me a little breath. Be willing to be a lover, but not free and easy enough to listen to Don talking about his wife. Dry firewood and fire, but when faced with the invitation from Paris, neither angry nor agree (this is the same as Joan’s performance is a crash: I am not interested in righting, but don’t think that you can just treat it as sweets, and you will not be called upon. There is not much freedom left). The most important thing is that the field of art is really special. In the atmosphere where the beauty gets along with her artist friends, she can no longer feel the strong sense of sexism like on other occasions in the film. Artists, no matter what they really do, are somewhat ignorant of all differences. The temperament of grades and rules, it is better to just say that this is just taking medicine. Therefore, the girls on the stage were coaxed to take off their tops, but the degree of indecency was far less than that of the so-called elite men of the advertising company who guessed and verified the color of female employees' underwear. The differences, ranks, and rules are what Don strives for at all costs throughout his life, so he hates those artists, but he has no bottom in front of them.

To sum up, the show's vision for women is that you are an adjunct of fascination and real adultery. Whether you are a strong woman, or a weak woman, mediocre and stupid, you are just a low-level animal. Looking at their struggles and attempts in this way, I feel even more futile and unbearable. For example, although I don’t like betty, it’s okay to see her short model comeback career being suspended, but it’s enough to watch her make up reasons why she doesn’t want to do it to maintain her ridiculous dignity in front of the don’s who made everything behind it. Drowned in sadness.

These simple opinions are just based on the plot of the first season, and I will say that it is more exciting later, so let's walk and watch.

  • Don Draper: Advertising is based on one thing: happiness. You know what happiness is? Happiness is smell of a new car. It's freedom from fear. It's a billboard on the side of the road that screams with reassurance that whatever you're doing, its okay. You are okay.

  • Don Draper: Send him in.
