Everyone loves Roxie

It is not difficult to understand why the American people love Marilyn Monroe. In the days of economic downturn, there is nothing more inspiring than a blonde stunner. Thinking makes people feel irritable, so we choose those light, superficial, ridiculous and attractive entertainments to pass the time-human beings originally had only two primitive desires, food and sex. When God takes away our sense of food security, then our extravagant dreams are only sex left-Marilyn Monroe, in a sense, is a gift from God. It's just that besides God, we are also shaping her. When we put all the standards of desire together, plump breasts and fat buttocks, bright eyes and white teeth, provocative golden curly hair, blurred and playful eye pupils, oh, and, it should be the kind of not knowing how to think but not knowing sadness Simple animals, laugh, come, continue to laugh, dance, continue to dance, spin, spin, spin! Marilyn Monroe knows the rules of the game. Her cleverness lies in her willingness to conceal her wisdom and only play the brainless beauty on stage for so many years. Ha, sexy stunner! She knows that this is what people need. But Roxie is not Marilyn Monroe. Although she is young and sexy (oh, indeed, she doesn't have that plump figure, but who dares to say that she is not sexy?), blonde, long legs, knows how to be coquettish, and know how to perform acting when appropriate. But Roxie, she is just Roxie. The rules of Chicago are never determined by these sexy stunners. "There will always be fresh blood." Billy said a pun. He is the star that never ends in this show. Wilma is right, his customer is just himself. The women are always his playthings, and he improvises back dance music. He can turn them into whatever he wants, as long as he wants. He sells stories, murders, eroticism, gossip. He sells, and they buy. No one cares about the final fate of the women in these whirlpools, they just need a story, a story that allows them to chat while rubbing their chests and sighing "Oh!" Chicago always loves fresh stories. Because life itself is really undesirable. In such a world, Roxie is slutty and naive. She thought being on the stage was the whole story. So she did everything possible to rank among her dream land. Go to bed? She thought this was the universal pass-indeed it was, but it was a prison. And how is the prison different from Chicago outside? Roxie is lucky again. Although she is slutty, there is still a steadfast fool who is willing to give everything for her. So everything began to approach her ideal step by step. The sweet murderer is on the jazz stage in Chicago! Oh, finally! The next story, of course, is to be expected. Chicago has never lacked snacks like Roxie Hart. Broadway musicals always like the tune of singing and dancing. Although "Chicago" is extremely ironic, it still gives a vain Happy Ending to cater to the audience. People are a little bit pitiful and cherish jade). However, in such a gorgeous and beautiful final song and dance, the director still did not forget the last black humor: In fifty years or so It's gonna change, you know But, oh, it's heaven Nowadays , It was 1929 when the US stock market collapsed.

8.5 is awesome, there's nothing to say about singing and dancing, the marionettes, the six female prisoners in prison and the courtroom tap dance are amazing, rene and Zeta Jones are both amazingly beautiful, and the plot is dark and ironic enough, but unfortunately the ending is relatively bland ( Of course, it is still far from a pianist)

All That Jazz and Chicago completely shattered my stereotype of musicals, which I thought at first couldn't convey anything profound, but I was absolutely wrong. Zeta Jones is so beautiful

Chicago quotes

  • Velma Kelly: Oh, you're gonna see your sheba do the shimmy-shake... And all that jazz. Oh, she's gonna shimmy till her garters break... And all that jazz. Show her where to park her girdle. Oh, her mother's blood'll curdle if she'd hear her baby's queer for All that jazz...

  • Roxie Hart: [singing] Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes we both, oh yes we both, oh yes we both reached for the gun, the gun, the gun, the gun. Oh, yes, we both reached for the gun, for the gun.
