(Intersection behind Shinjuku Police Station)
[Tokyo area]
The hero Tachibana Taki in "Your Name" lives in the big city Tokyo, so a series of Tokyo street scenes and landmark buildings are displayed in the film. The main character Tachibana Taki’s weekday activity area uses a large number of actual scenes in Shinjuku, Tokyo. For example, he commutes to school between Shinjuku and Yotsuya Station. In the plot, he and Okuji-senpai are arranged in Roppongi Hills and the Gaien area of Shinjuku. When Mitsuba went to Tokyo to search for Taki, the film used the view of Yoyogi Station at sunset. At the end, Taki and Mitsuba, who were already working, found each other in the intersecting trains of the JR Chuo Line, and then departed from Shinjuku Station's South Exit and Chiemagaya Station respectively, wandering in Suka-cho and looking for each other. In the end, the stairs in front of Suka Shrine in Yotsuya served as the final scene.
In addition, the name Il giardino delle parole, an Italian restaurant where Taki works after school, is actually the name of the Italian version of "The Garden of Words". The prototype is a coffee shop called カフェラ·ボエム in Shinjuku.
+Shinjuku Police Station
When you walk from Shinjuku Station to Shinjuku Police Station, you will see this circular traffic light. In addition to the traffic light function, the circular design also has road signs to guide the direction.
+Shinjuku Station
Shinjuku is the bustling area most popular with young students. The movie Mitsuba set foot on the land of Tokyo as Taki, and couldn't help but exclaim "Wow Tokyo". It is located in front of the dessert shop Ladurée at the south exit of Shinjuku Station.
+ドコモタワー
The office building scenes in Tokyo in the movie scene mostly come from Shinjuku, Shinanomachi, and the surrounding areas of Yotsuya. The sunrise scene in the movie was shot at the NTTDOCOMO DOCOMO TOWER in Shibuya, Tokyo, which is a business building. Visitors will surely see this unique and conspicuous tall building when viewing flowers and autumn leaves in Yoyogi Park in Tokyo.
+Suka Shrine
At the end of the film, Mitsuba and Taki miss each other on the steps of Suga Shrine. This is the place where the emotions of the whole film are strongest. After the film was released, it has become the hottest pilgrimage site in Tokyo.

Yotsuya Station is the place where Taki and Okuji-senpai meet on a date in the film. Taki’s school, Tokyo Metropolitan Jingu High School, was set in the center of Tokyo. When Taki (actually Mitsuba) and his classmates and Shinta came home from school, Meiji Jingu Gaien appeared in the background. The sidewalk is beside the fountain on the south side of the outer garden of Meiji Shrine. The interior design of the futuristic school was taken from Motomachi Senior High School in Hiroshima.
+Shinanomachi Station
Ended a failed date with Okuji-senpai, the pedestrian bridge where Taki was on when he called Mitsuba. Although it is an ordinary flyover that can be seen everywhere, many fans still come to take a photo tour after the big movie.
+Benkei Bridge
In the second half of the film, Taki and Okuji-senpai are talking while walking. From here, they walked all the way to the pedestrian passage under the Metropolitan Line 4 overpass.
+National New Art Museum
This is the place where Taki (actually Mitsuba) has afternoon tea with seniors. This high-end cafe was taken from the National Art Museum of Tokyo in Roppongi. It is the Italian restaurant Brasserie Paul Bocuse Le Musée on the third floor.
+Shibuya ツタヤ
SHIBUYA TSUTAYA has an eye-catching light box and a huge Starbucks logo. It flashes in the episode "Previous Past Life". It is the scene of Taki (actually Mitsuba) drinking coffee on a date with Okuji-senpai.

(Torii at Miyasui Shrine)
[Hida City, Takayama City] Itomori Town, where the
heroine Miyamizu Mitsuba lives in the film "Your Name", is located in the deep mountains of Hida. It is an overhead small prefecture. The name "Itomori" echoes throughout The plot of the animation. The town of Itomori in the animation is a typical Japanese rural town. There are many Western-style buildings in the town. Among them, the home of the heroine Miyamizu Mitsuba is a Japanese and Western eclectic wooden building. In the center of Itomori Town is Lake Itomori, to the north is a mountainous area, and to the south is the city center with shopping streets, town halls, and Itomori High School. In addition, when Taki and his party went to Itomumachi in the play, they used Hida Furukawa Station and many scenes near the station, including the nearby Kita Wakamiya Shrine, the city library, and the Ochiai bus stop to the north of the station.
+Anfeng Mountain
In the story, Miyamizu Shrine is the religious center of Itomori Town. It is located halfway up the mountain on the north side of Itomori Town, and you can directly overlook the Itomori Lake below the mountain. The mountain in the film corresponds to Mt. Anfeng, located on the outskirts of Hida Furukawa. Standing on the top of the mountain when the weather is clear, you can see the Hida ancient town surrounded by mountains spreading out on the plain, and in the distance is Hakusan, one of the three famous mountains in Japan.
+Hida Furukawa Station
On the way to Mitsuba’s hometown, Itomoricho, Taki and his companions showed this station in Gifu Prefecture on the screen. The huge Hida cattle animation stand at the ticket office has now become a popular photo subject, and the movie poster of "Your Name" is also displayed in the station.
+Hida City Library
A group of people in Taki were told by the owner of a ramen shop who was born in Itomori Town that the Itomu Town in the sketch was destroyed by a meteorite three years ago. Taki went to the local library to further investigate the news and historical materials about the comet and the town. A large number of real scenes inside the library are used in the film. After the film was released, the library was also overcrowded.
+Ki Tawakamiya Shrine
The prototype of Miyamizu Shrine is based on the design of Kida Wakamiya Shrine in Hida City, Gifu Prefecture. In the film, the heroine Miyamizu Mitsuba and her sister Yotsuba, who is still an elementary school student, work as a shrine maiden at Miyamizu Shrine, which has been run by the family for generations, and live with her grandmother.
+Wei Chu Furukawa
In the film, Taki asked the local residents about the sketch of the scenery he drew based on his memories. In the background, the ancestors of Sihe Aoji, who are with you in the background, were contentedly eating the famous local snack Wupingbing (Gengmi Roasted Rice Cake) at the door of this store.

The prototype of Miyasui Shrine also refers to the Hie Shrine in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture. (Lake Itomori)

formed by the collision of a comet in the film "Your Name" does not really exist, and many natural landscapes in Japan were referred to in the creation.
+Kata La Lake
The setting of Lake Itomori is integrated into the landscape of Lake Kutara in Hokkaido, but Lake Kutara is surrounded by cliffs and there is no village. Like the Tianchi Lake in Changbai Mountain, the deepest lake in China, Kudo Le Lake is a crater lake. It is a lake formed by the accumulation of water at the mouth of the cave after the eruption of a volcano. Lake Kitara is almost circular in shape, and its water quality is the second most transparent lake in Japan (the first place is also named Lake Mashu in Hokkaido). Near Lake Kitara is the famous Noboribetsu Hot Spring, which attracts a large number of tourists every year.

In the animation, Lake Itomori is an important scene that promotes the plot. Makoto Shinkai was born in Nagano Prefecture, and the fictional Itomori Town in the animation refers to the landscape near his hometown of Suwa, Nagano Prefecture. +Blue Island
In the animation, 1,200 years ago, when the comet Diamat with a revolution period of 1,200 years passed near the earth, the meteorite produced by the comet's fragmentation exploded a crater and accumulated water to form Lake Itomu. The impact event was recorded in the Royal God Body Grottoes in the form of murals. The prototype of Miyasui Shrine’s deity body is Qingdao, a volcanic island in the southern part of the Izu Islands. Qingdao is isolated from the rest of the world due to poor traffic, and retains more beautiful natural landscapes. In the story, Mitsuba (actually Taki), younger sister Yotsuba, and grandmother hiked to Miyamizu Shrine on the mountain outside the town, paid homage to the goddess hidden in the world in a caldera-shaped depression, and sacrificed half of the body by chewing alcohol.
