You don't understand our emotions about this film. First of all, let me tell you, from a movie point of view, this movie is only 4-5 points, no more.
But, I want to say, I don't even know what to say, I'm typing now, I'm a bit short on words, I don't know what to call people like us, you can understand it as "myth fans" and so on of.
emm... Here's the thing, many of my friends said they couldn't understand this film, they thought the plot was ridiculous, and they felt very messy. But this is also what I expected, because they don't know much about "this aspect".
When I personally watched the movie, I felt it was okay, but it felt that the rhythm was too fast.
Several paintballs were also found, such as a vampire head, and the "Golden Sutra" from "The Mummy" (1999) (should it be called this?)
There is also the "Eddie Hyde" that has to be mentioned. Some people feel a little blinded when they see this, and their reaction is probably: "What is this? Why is this person transformed into that?". Universal is not doing well here.
This movie is more for old fans, and it is very unfriendly to newcomers. This is also a classic detail. In the eyes of newcomers (people who don’t know about ghosts, gods and monsters), they become unnecessary things. Universal is a bit overconfident.
But just with this ip "The Mummy" and the "dark universe" at the beginning, I think many people will be able to "donate generously".
After talking about a bunch of useless things, I will give a 4 in general now, because of two reasons: first, the special effects are not so shocking. Second, the heroine is not good-looking. I'm still looking forward to the rest of the Dark Universe movies. The reason why this movie is just over 4 points is because it's a topic that seems "hot" but is actually "unpopular". Everyone should accept it in the future.
