Okay, enough to see Charlize Theron

Many years ago, Angelina Jolie made a "Agent Short", I don't know how many people remember it. It was reviewed as a female Jason Bourne at the time, and I was looking forward to the sequel. These 7 years have passed, and Jolie has not released a sequel, but Charlize Theron has released a "City of Extreme Cold". Take a look at the close-ups of the heroines of these two films. Does it seem familiar?

The overall level of "Arctic City" is higher than "Agent Short", I think it is a very stylized and stylish movie. But unfortunately, none of the female agent movies sell well. It should be said that there are very few movies with women as the protagonists of action movies. For such a popular goddess as Sister Widow, Marvel has yet to launch a personal independent film for her, and Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor are all three.

Back to "City of Extreme Cold". After "Bourne Bourne", not only spy movies, but the whole action movie is biased towards this kind of punch-to-meat, real and fierce fighting style. Charlize Theron's performance in the film is heroic. 177 height, model-like figure, stern expression, silver hair, capable and sharp. Very charming and aura.

The style of the film is retro, not the old-fashioned retro style, but a 21st-century electronic, psychedelic, and very cool retro style. The scene is very textured, with very little CG sense. The color tone of the picture is cold, which is in line with the overall style of the film and Theron's temperament, but when Theron and the French female agent play together, it is scarlet.

The background music is great. Some people think the music is too full. I feel fine. Some of these background music are songs from the 90s, and some are electronic music of the 21st century. They fit the picture, and the music feels very tasteful and arouses the emotions of the audience.

Inamori Kazuo said that there are three types of smart people: smart, upright, and deep. Movies can also be judged by this standard.

Specific to spy movies, such as the recently released "Ace Agent" and "Secret Agent" are smart and clever. Standard Hollywood made, good looking and standard. It can be seen that it is full of "intelligence". I will give you what you like and what you think is tall and high, and give you enough. Pretend enough, good-looking enough, fun enough, but not sincere enough. It's not about what style the director wants to shoot or express, but first to investigate what the audience wants and stuff it in according to standard procedures.

"Arctic City" and "Bourne Bourne" I think can be regarded as upright and heroic. The director still has ideas and expresses his will. Not exactly in the way of entertainment films. Here it can be seen that the director wants to make a good movie, not just a hit movie. ,

Speaking of deep and heavy, the requirements are too high, and all that are done are classics of film history. Works that have masterful charm and transcend time. All I can think of right now is Wiretap Storm. This can be considered a spy movie, but not an action movie. The translation of "Eavesdropping Storm" is so cheesy it doesn't quite fit the status of the movie. "Das Leben der Anderen" German would like to be "other people's lives", and it's meaningful.

There is also a "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy", which is also introverted, deep and full of tension. It's somewhere in between Wiretap and The Bourne.

  • Lorraine Broughton: I've read your file. I've also read your dog file. So let's cut the crap, shall we? This whole hungover, show-up-late, don't-know-which-way-is-up act, I'm not buying it. I trust you about as far as I can throw you.

David Percival: "It's a double pleasure to deceive the deceiver."

Lorraine Broughton: Niccolo Machiavelli. It was on your shelf.

David Percival: Oh my God, I think I fucking love you!

    Lorraine Broughton: That's too bad.

  • Lorraine Broughton: You've got some balls breaking in here.

David Percival: You should see my balls. Then you'd be really impressed!
