I'm used to seeing Goddess Rachel acting in love movies, but I didn't expect comedies to be so good. Especially when Annie fetches a bullet for Max, I still can't help laughing 12 hours after watching the movie. Of course, the jokes of the movie don't stop there. The whole movie is fast-paced, so you can't help but follow the protagonists down.
The film's protagonists, Annie and Max, go on "game nights" with four other friends every weekend, and they secretly exclude Gary, whose personality has changed dramatically because of the divorce. Max was nervous because of the imminent arrival of his brother, and even caused the sperm quality to decline and could not give birth to a child. Because for a long time, Max believed that his brother was better than him in every way, smart and rich. My brother came anyway, and he proposed to organize a different game night, a "murder mystery game". Unexpectedly, the fake kidnapping turned into a real kidnapping, and my brother was chased and killed because he got into a gang. In the process that everyone didn't know that this was a real kidnapping, it was full of laughter. In the process, my brother also admitted that he is not a successful person at all, but a big liar who walks the rivers and lakes.
It turned out that the kidnapping itself was a game directed by Gary in order to be able to participate in everyone's game night. This is the first reversal of the film. I originally thought that the film would end here, but I didn't expect the kidnapping that my brother thought was caused by an easter egg, but it was true. This is the second inversion. The older brother was taken on the gangster's plane, and the part where Annie and Max opened the conveyor belt to save his brother was hilarious. Of course, everyone was happy in the end. After saving his brother, Max finally realized that he was the truly outstanding person in his brother's eyes.
Ps. There are two episodes involving China in the film: 1. After the protagonists got the Easter eggs, they found that "made in China" was written, so they sighed: "Is this a fake?" 2. At the end of the film, Max finally I wanted a child in my heart, and when I planned how to raise the child in the future with Annie, I said: "Let him learn Mandarin in the future, because China is the future of the world." The contrast, at least, shows the director's contradictory attitude towards China.
Always, this is a movie that surprises me more than I expected.
