The legendary haunted house in Winchester

The first thing I have to say about the movie "Winchester" is that I don't watch the movie because the introduction is adapted from the most sinister true case in American history. How should I put it, when it comes to haunted houses in general, I think it is more impressive in Korea and Japan, that kind of house where a family died in it. In this movie, the elements of horror are actually good, and I won't say it is particularly scary. What is even more curious is what kind of building this magical house is. It is constantly being repaired and renovated. There are windows on the roof, doors in the cabinets, stairs that cannot be reached, etc. It feels more like a fantasy house, just like Harry. Potter will live, and so can Doctor Fantastic. As for the hostess of the house, Sarah Winchester, the heiress of the rifle, she is more like a psychic who perceives the souls of people who have been robbed and killed through her own body, builds houses to quell grief and achieve peace, the so-called curse In fact, it is more like a kind of psychological redemption. Because of the death caused by guns, guilt and self-blame drive spiritual thoughts. Of course, there may be something about the haunted house. Anyway, I haven’t been there and I don’t know. There will be something, but shouldn't the murderer be more sensitive to the soul than the murder instrument? If you can't seek revenge for the murder, then find the person who robs. It always feels a bit far-fetched. But this movie is still ok, it's not very scary, and it should be watched if it is changed for the real case. At least I know that Winchester is a haunted house, and that there is such a magical house in the world.

Winchester quotes

  • Dr. Eric Price: Sometimes we all need a little help to see the difference between reality and illusion. And that's about taking control, about not letting fear control you. Because, fear, in the end, only exists in your mind.

  • Marion Marriott: The house can be overwhelming. Do keep up.
