At the end of the film, friends from Marcello's fantasy community are playing football on the pitch, trying to prove that he has not betrayed them by bringing Simone's body in front of them. But the shallow depth of field still implies that the figure is always isolated, not to mention that in the last shot, Marcello is sitting alone in the square, surrounded by the circular composition formed by the stool and the dog. The first time I watched this movie, I didn't find it very attractive, but after thinking about it, the movie has successfully portrayed the image of the male protagonist, Matiro, and the contradictions and psychological changes of the characters. Why? The act of final revenge is on the one hand because of Simone's disrespect for himself, on the other hand, because he wants to be a brave and dignified person in front of his daughter. Simone is a terrorism that shrouds the community. Everyone is afraid of him, but no one dares to resist him. At the same time, they are unwilling to admit their inner cowardice, so that when Marcello did not report Simone's behavior , the whole of the community isolated him instead.
