About hostility

First of all, I will watch this movie a second time. In the case of insomnia last night, I didn't have to watch the first half of the film very carefully.

Then, the title of Chineseman and the appearance of discriminatory Chinese people in the film made me very uncomfortable, probably because of the content of this film about racial discrimination.

Going back to the content of the movie itself, my biggest feeling is that on the surface, people are full of hostility and mistrust, quarreling, making hands, and even taking out guns if they don’t agree with each other, but people’s hearts don’t care about their status, status or wealth. Many or few, I long for kindness, longing for a better life, and longing for happiness and happiness. This has made me sway about my original belief that "human nature is evil". Although there are not so many coincidences in reality, I am immersed in the time of the movie. I believe it and I am touched. We need the company of friends, the bravery of our lover, and the warmth of our family.

Then where does this hostility come from? If people’s hearts are good, why are they showing such strong malice? What makes us all put on thorny armor, from my understanding, must have been suffered before. Injuries, anger that have been experienced, or seeing others have been hurt, these will make us start to protect ourselves and become hostile to others, as is the plot described in the movie. When discussing this issue, I feel that nothing is absolute, and people’s good and evil are not absolute. Often people have two sides. Just like the good police in the film will kill people at one thought, the vulgar police will be in crisis. Save people at all times. I still choose to believe that people hate quarrels and violence. Human tolerance and understanding are never absent. You just need to take off your armor and let your heart meet your heart.

The editing of the movie is very sensational in the connection between the front and the back. It makes me feel that there is a certain connection between people directly. After my action, it may happen that at the next time, there is a certain one following my action. This is exactly what the film wants to express: there is a universal connection between people. And this connection may interact with each other and have an impact on the future.

Finally, I would like to ask a question, why the gun was invented, and all the powerful weapons behind it, a weapon that is lethal with one bullet and one cannonball, does it encourage the hostility between people? , Is it the greatest blasphemy against people and human nature?

Crash quotes

  • Fred: [On a movie set] I think we need another take.

    Cameron: That looked pretty terrific.

Fred: This is going to sound strange but is Jamal seeing a speech coach?

    Cameron: What do you mean?

Fred: This is weird for a white guy to say this, but have you noticed he's been talking a lot less "black" lately?

Cameron: No, I haven't noticed that.

Fred: Really? Like in this scene, he's supposed to say "don't be talking about that", and he changed it to "don't talk to me about that".

Cameron: You think because of that the audience won't recognize him as a black man?

    Fred: Is there a problem?

    Cameron: Excuse me?

    Fred: Is there a problem?

Cameron: No, we don't have a problem.

Fred: All I'm saying it's not his character. Eddie is supposed to be the smart one, not Jamal, right? You're the expert here but to me it rings false.

  • Shaniqua: Mr. Ryan, my name is Shaniqua Johnson. I believe we spoke last night.

Officer Ryan: Yeah, I wanted to apologize. I haven't been too much sleep and my father's in a lot of pain.

Shaniqua: I'm sorry to hear that.

Officer Ryan: The doctor he's seeing says he's got a urinary tract infection, but he's been taking this medicine for a month now and seems to be getting worse.

Shaniqua: And he's been back to see Dr. Roberts?

Officer Ryan: Between you and me, the man's an idiot.

    Shaniqua: Really?

Officer Ryan: Well, no offense, but the doctor sees a hundred patients an hour, I think his nurses are doing most of the work.

Shaniqua: If your father is unhappy with Dr. Roberts he's welcome to see a doctor outside the network.

Officer Ryan: And if this new doctor says it's not an infection and says it's his prostate and needs to be operated on, is it going to be covered?

Shaniqua: Not unless Dr. Roberts authorizes it.

Officer Ryan: Then what good is that going to do?

Shaniqua: I'm sorry, there's nothing else I can do.

Officer Ryan: You know what I can't do? I can't look at you without thinking about the five or six more qualified white men that didn't get your job.

Shaniqua: It's time for you to go.

Officer Ryan: I'm saying this because I'm really hoping I'm wrong about you. I'm hoping someone like yourself, someone who has been given a helping hand might have a little compassion for someone else in a similar situation.
