About the story
The film is set in East Germany, which refers to the chain effects of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the economic transformation of East Germany and the sudden increase of unemployment. Director Steuber said that the film focuses on the stories of these blue-collar workers who were "left behind" and eliminated by the economic torrent. They gathered in hypermarkets and formed an alternative family that supported each other. Sandra Wheeler, who plays the heroine, said that the script design exudes deep affection for the character, and the warm depiction has an almost fairy tale-like glow.
