Star Dreams Deep Music Movie

The Hong Kong version of the film is called "Dream of the Stars"

I think it sums up the content of the film very well.

The movie is generally shot, with three lines: dreaming, love and family, all of which ended up at one point in the end. It was true that the line was a bit messy behind, but Sister Ga caught it with I will never love again, which can be said to be very emotional.

Some people compare this with la la land, but I don't think it is necessary. Although the two films have a lot in common, or it can be said that the themes are the same. But la la land is made in Broadway way, which is more artistic and dramatic, while "Dream of the Stars" is made in the country with blues, rock and pop, and more grounded.

The point that touched me the most was that when the male lead invited sister Ga to sing the first song, the main song was the shyness and tenderness of the four eyes, and the chorus was brave and passionate. It was really the theme song of the film. It couldn't be more suitable. This song in the film also pushed Ga's love and career to the top. Personally, I think this progress is a bit too far forward, which leads to some boring in the second half.

Then this was the first time I saw Ga in a movie, and I felt pretty good, at least not artificial, but because of the influence of the role setting, the expression of the characters was a bit limited, and basically followed the development of the male lead. But I still have to say that the match between the male lead and Ga sister is great.

Earlier, I mentioned that there is a line of family affection, which is mentioned from time to time and runs through it, that is, the line between the hero and the brother. The elder brother as a broker is like his parents. His 18-year-old mother passed away when he was born. His alcoholic father also passed away when he was 13 years old. He was taken care of by his half-brother. The protagonist Zeng and Sister Ga said that they really didn't want to go home to tour, and they fought after learning that his brother had sold his father's farm after he became famous. The male protagonist does not want to return home, does not want his father's "shadow" to disappear, and does not want to listen to his brother's words. I understand these reactions as "revenge" for childhood life. He is insecure, doesn't trust anyone, doesn't want to accept himself, doesn't want to reconcile with the past. In the last paragraph, when he got out of his brother's car after detoxification, he said, "I used to be admire not father but you". I was really moved to tears. At that moment he finally let go.

Finally, if you like Sister Ga, go see it!

A Star Is Born quotes

  • Jack: Can I touch your nose?

    Ally: Oh, my gosh.

Jack: Let me just touch it for a second.

[He slides his finger down her nose]

    Jack: You're very lucky.

    Ally: Oh, really?

    Jack: M-hm.

Ally: Yeah, not really. My nose has not made me lucky.

  • Jack: Look, talent comes everywhere. Everybody's talented, fucking everyone in this bar is talented at one thing or another. But having something to say and a way to say it so that people listen to it, that's a whole other bag. And unless you get out and you try to do it, you'll never know. That's just the truth. And there's one reason we're supposed to be here is to say something so people want to hear. Don't you understand what I'm trying to tell you?

Ally: Yeah, I do. I don't like it, but I understand it.

Jack: Oh, I think you like it a little bit.
