Some feelings about the ending

If I watched it when I was a child, I would definitely hope that Susan would make a wish on the wishing machine, return to 13 years old with Josh, and live a synchronized life.

But looking at it now, this ending may be the best. Just as Josh can't catch up with the speed of instant growth, Susan can't really return to the age of 13. Giving Bush a boy's forehead kiss, wishing them well, is Susan's last tenderness. Maybe the two still love each other after many years, then the love will be more firm and great, and Josh can grow up and understand responsibility; if not, it will be a memory that will never be forgotten. If you insist on tying two people together, it would be too boring and uncomfortable.

However, in the end, everything seems to have returned to its original state. Josh is still naughty and innocent when he is 13 years old, but it seems to be a little different. The same bicycle passes by the same, but there is no boy's singing.
