Please cast this vote for the geek: I'm not asking for a queen

If you have watched "Fuck the World", you must have "secretly" thought in your heart: if I could be like them, I would...

The world is very big and busy, and there is no time to take care of everyone, let alone the secret corners of everyone's heart. The person who can see the "secret" is only himself, and the person who can feel the secret is only the "freak" in the corner.

In today's new era, many words have new definitions: knights, strange flowers, freaks, etc., which are no longer simply the original level of understanding. Take "freak" as an example, it represents the misfit People, people who behave differently than most people, people who are withdrawn and exaggerated...but are these people really "weird"?

"Strange" is always used by us to describe people or things that are exaggerated and terrifying in appearance, and are out of tune with reality. If these are hidden deep inside, wouldn't it be strange? Who gave us the right and standard to measure "weird" and "not strange"?

The protagonist in the movie conforms to all the above "freak traits", but he has successfully ushered in recognition, acceptance and respect. Obviously he is not wrong. Under his interpretation of "freak", let us understand what freedom is and be yourself.

1. Put aside repression and learn to express

Like other characters in the film, suppressing oneself is a daily behavior, but in different ways, each with its own characteristics. We can easily find our own templates and labels in the film, and even we are the group of "invisible people".

Suppressing your inner yearning for freedom, doing what your parents expect, a decision approved by your friends, a student your teacher likes, etc., but you lose yourself.

Of course this is not to say that "rebellion and resistance" is infallible, meaning:

Negative emotions and weakness are a rapidly contagious virus, and freedom and being yourself are like antidote. It requires experimentation and courage to prove it.

I remember a clip in the movie, "Mermaid", "Blue Bubble", the protagonist's lines are roughly like this: I did as you said in school, and now I can finally be myself, using my original look.

In our life, we are not "acting" all the time, and only when we are alone do we return to our own appearance, which is a very sad thing.

2. Exaggeration and dazzling is to make freedom have confidence

Because of being shackled, we have learned a survival skill called "implicit". No matter what we do, we no longer have a clear goal and rush forward, but repeatedly try again and again.

Therefore, in such a big environment, freedom is extraordinarily exaggerated and dazzling, and even attracts attack and exclusion, but this is also the reason why fighting for freedom becomes more emboldened. Because it is rare, the road is difficult.

3. Freedom without emotion is pale and powerless

The mother of the protagonist in the movie is an example. She is free and avant-garde but wasted time, unrestrained and brave but addicted to pleasure. This is not freedom, but self-renunciation.

True freedom is flesh and blood, like a fragile but rich middle-aged woman who needs to grope, test, and even more frankly and enthusiastically. What's the point if there's only pale, free and powerless?

No matter what people do, they must know how to use "force". Force is the output of emotion. How can you return without output, let alone freedom?

Fourth, sustenance is a self-enclosed magnet

Someone once said: life must have sustenance.

In fact, this is a very terrible and extreme self-suggestion. If there is no sustenance and reliance, will mankind perish?

Not everything has deep meaning and purpose, and not everything is hopeful. sustenance will make people lazy, and will make people vulnerable to a single blow. If the sustenance disappears, then the magnet will start, and are we willing to give up like a caramel?

The above are the most direct questions I have after watching the film. After thinking about it, I also have some answers, but I still need to dig deeper and scrutinize them.

I love to ask myself questions, then answer them myself, keep asking questions, and answering again... Until I have no more questions to ask, I feel that I have thought through this matter thoroughly. I can also bear all the consequences of this incident, good or bad, without complaining.

But after thinking about it, I found that even doing so, I am still a weakling, not a "geek".

Many people never aspire to be the queen of all people's attention, but they always dream of becoming their own "freak". Because I don't have the courage to push away friends I have always hated, I don't have the courage to say no to everyone, and I don't have the courage to declare war on all injustices. It ended up being the most cowardly of the onlookers—a sad thing to think about but not to do.

If after watching the movie, you have such thoughts, then please act and become your own "freak". Not at once, but at once, to make all the impossible possible, to let all opposition go away, to cast this vote to the freak in his secret corner.
