I have always heard that the handheld dv shooting method of Clover's archives will be refreshing, but after watching the movie, I found that it may be a bit of an exaggeration. It might have something to do with watching "Kunyan Pond" before.
The beginning of the story is a long period of time describing the life of the protagonists. Maybe it's a bit blind, and I didn't fully understand the relationship between the 5 main characters in the first 20 minutes. The foreshadowing took about 1/3 of the length of the film, and then a giant humanoid monster suddenly appeared in Manhattan, New York. The military began to fight the monsters, but it was very weak. The protagonist and his party began to evacuate with the crowd.
But suddenly one of the girlfriends called to say that she was trapped, and then he desperately wanted to go back to save his girlfriend. What was unreasonable was that the other three people accompanying him followed and died on the road. Two, the male and female masters also disappeared in a piece of rubble finally.
The picture has always been unstable, and it may be uncomfortable for friends who are dizzy in 3d, but it is okay after getting used to it. The army in the film feels that the firepower is a little insufficient, but it is also a common problem with the film. I don't think there will be so many self-sacrificing in front of disaster avoidance, and it is unreasonable to go to the monster activity area instead of running away.
The good thing is that the special effects are pretty good, and the shooting techniques are also worth seeing. All in all, it's a normal science fiction disaster movie?
