How to evaluate "I'm not the God of Medicine"

"I'm not the God of Medicine" has officially met with you for a long time. I am very happy to see that the film I participated in was liked and discussed by so many people. As an actor, having acted in such a movie, I have some feelings in my heart, and I want to share it with you here.

When I got the script, I just knew it was a movie based on a true event. The script was so well written that it drew me in right away. Although the screenwriter has adapted the characters, the "real feeling" still comes. I've seen quite a few screenplays adapted from the same reality, and it's not an easy thing to do.

Almost all of my scenes were filmed in Nanjing. As soon as I entered the crew, I felt that it was different from the previous crew. There are many types of jobs on site. The field managers and assistant directors are all young, and the whole work atmosphere is very active, like a group of young people shooting graduation works. This atmosphere also quickly infected us "old people", and within a few days we became very familiar with each other.

The character I played is Sihui, a single mother in Northeast China who was abandoned by her husband. Her daughter had leukemia and came to Shanghai to earn money to treat her child. In order to make quick money, she chose to go pole dancing. In such a situation as she is, there are actually 10,000 reasons for despair, degeneration, or just walking away. But she didn't. She was in such a desperate situation. Instead of complaining, she said, OK, I will solve all these problems myself. This is what I find cool about this character.

The main antagonist of this role is Cheng Yong, a drug dealer played with Mr. Xu Zheng, and every scene was very enjoyable. For example, when they earned money and went to the bar where Sihui worked to celebrate, the manager came to ask Sihui to dance on the stage, when Brother Yong said not to dance and "smashed" stacks of banknotes onto the table for the manager to dance, Sihui revealed that of a slight smile. It was a kind of happiness that a woman felt cared for and protected, something she had not experienced for a long time in her life. Then the two of them went back to Sihui's house together. Everyone knew what was going to happen, but they were too embarrassed to say it.

The family scene was also very difficult to measure, so we did it at the end. It's about acting so that you can clearly see the attitudes of the two people. Sihui's attitude is that I understand the rules of the game and I understand things. Because you give me medicine and give me extra benefits, I have to pay the price. But she did not show that she was weak or passive in this transaction. She still maintained a kind of dignity in this state, that is, I understand these "rules", but I am not afraid, come on.

The screenwriter's lines helped us a lot in filming this scene. When she came up, Sihui said, "Brother Yong, wait for a while, I'll take a shower." This sentence made Brother Yong stunned. When she came back from the bath, she turned off the light, took off her clothes, and said "Come on Brother Yong, the child should wake up in a while", this series of initiative, sensible, made people feel a little sad, and Brother Yong also felt more hesitant and guilty for this, and finally he said I left you first have a rest. It is actually Sihui's luck to meet such a kind-hearted person as Brother Yong.

Teacher Xu Zheng and brother Shan Zheng are really good actors. From the time he took us to start the script and rehearsal, we knew that this smart (superior) man really understands movies and acting. Because I am a learning actor, I will be very high when I meet a "high mountain" like Mr. Xu, and feel that I can learn new things again. As the old saying goes, "Listening to your words is better than reading ten years of books." In fact, working with great people is like taking a shortcut. As the core character of this project, producer and starring, he is very clear about what to do, what is good, and how to provide the greatest guarantee for the film, which makes us feel more at ease.

After this play, everyone will know director Wen Muye. He has a resounding nickname in the crew, called "Wen Baobao". Because his mantra is "guarantee one more" and "guarantee one more", which means to let the actor take one more shot as insurance.

What makes Director Wen particularly "powerful" is that when he says "guarantee one", his tone is very respectful. It's like "It's very good, very good, teachers, we took a very good picture just now, then we will guarantee another one". We knew this routine not long after the filming started, and we may guarantee 20 more pieces as soon as we guarantee it. So when we hear "very good" later, we won't relax anymore, and we have to hear "passed" all the time to really feel relieved.

Although I complain about him here, but like Mr. Ning Hao said, he is the most suitable person to make this movie. He looked rather bookish, but in his heart lived a "social man".

He is very good at realistic themes, from the entire precision of the script to his understanding of the story and characters, he can feel that he has a concern for the world and suffering. He understands this society and understands the people in the society. This is very important and has a root.

At the same time, just like Liu Sihui in the movie, she actually knows everything. He understands very well what needs to be done to achieve the goal, how to cooperate with the surrounding team, and how to communicate with the actors. After thinking about it clearly, he will be very decisive, and sometimes it will make people feel cold. He is very strict with himself and others, and has his own standards in his heart, which may be the reason why he can be a good director.

In the early stages of filming, any of us asked him a question in any script, and he got an answer right away. That is to say, the preparation is clear and detailed enough. He has thought of everything you have thought of, and he has thought of everything you have not thought of. When it comes to filming on site, he asks you to keep it all the time, but it's actually adjusting. When he talks to you about the movie, he will give you a very clear direction of adjustment, where more and where less. Like an experienced chef who knows exactly what kind of dish he is going to make.

It's hard not to think about the impact it will have on the people here and the society in such a film that is relevant to reality and our lives. Just like the slogan we said in the group photo at the end of each road show, as an actor, "box-office sales" is not what we are most looking forward to, we prefer this movie to be "the light of hope".

As Yong Ge said at the end, we believe that it will get better and better in the future.
