The scene is grand, disguising the nature of the aggressor

The scenery in the desert is spectacular, the scenes are grand and well-made. Looking at it today, it is also a beautiful epic production.

But the plot really doesn't understand, how did the last Arab worshiped as a god, Lawrence, be excluded, how did he lose power; what kind of deal did the Arabs make with the British, etc.? I didn't get it.

The portrayal of Lawrence is not very good. I personally think that since this person has the ability to fanatical, dare to cross the desert, and do things that ordinary people dare not do, then he should have a will that ordinary people do not have. But he was so merciful on the battlefield that he would have a nervous breakdown when he fired a shot. In fact, Lawrence killed more than 300 prisoners of war.

The descriptions of the Arabs are also barbaric, greedy, short-sighted, etc. All this seems to cover up the British aggression, beautify Lawrence.

It should not be said that [Lawrence of Arabia] is synonymous with epic films, it should be said that epic films are the best commentary of [Lawrence of Arabia].

So long, four hours, but I guess it's worth the time.

Lawrence of Arabia quotes

  • Colonel Brighton: Look, sir, we can't just do nothing.

General Allenby: Why not? It's usually best.

  • T.E. Lawrence: So long as the Arabs fight tribe against tribe, so long will they be a little people, a silly people - greedy, barbarous, and cruel, as you are.
